I use this for all types of hair styles and it holds really well. It shines and doesn't leave a flaky mess. It dries fast, smells good, and has good ingredients for your hair.

When I opened the jar I thought — meh this is just a glorified light hold edge control rebranded as braiding gel. Welp, it definitely lives up to the hype. What’s interesting about it is that it FEELS like it won’t do much of anything, because the product is almost soft feeling. but let me tell youuuu— this thing helped create the neatest parts and most put together twist style I have ever done. It’s been about 6 days since I installed the style and my little one’s hair still looks like it was just done today. A tiny bit goes a faaaar way so this one jar will probably last possibly 6 months if I re-do these twists every 4 weeks as planned. It can also be used on edges! I was amazed when I used a tiny dab on her edges one morning and after a full day at school her edges were still neat, no flaking, and it’s not a hard hold. For reference I’m using this on 4C medium-thick hair.

Like the scent and shine it provided, but it doesn’t hold the hair for long, got braided with these once and the braids were looking pretty bad after 4 days, when they usually last a good 2 weeks before starting to come undone at the top and where your hair ends. So I wouldn’t recommend for that.

I always get this braid gel much cheaper on here than in my local beauty supply. Leaves a pretty shine, it’s thick and holds braids well . The smell is minimal

Lo e it because it's easy to lay your hair sides down & swirl if need be & it doesn't leave flakes in your hair after it dries .
