Easy installation. Not a motion detector.
Just installed this photocell two days ago. Easy and straightforward installation and the unit functioned as advertised; lights on at dusk, lights off at dawn. Not sure why this review wanted to know about the motion detection since that is not a function of this part number.Previous unit (same part number) lasted for 13 years before giving up the ghost. I will let this unit function for the next 13 to 25 years before being able to rate the longevity.

Easy and quick installation!
Finally got to install this for my LED outdoor security light. It works great so far with good daylight and dust activation accuracy and hope it continues to function good for a few years!

This is for turning on power when it gets dark. It does the job.
This is used in conjunction with an outdoor junction box of some sort. I use this to turn on an outdoor light some distance from the installation and it works fine. Some wiring knowledge is advisable. It seems sturdy and hopefully will work for many years.
