USB Data Blocker (Black 5 Pack) - Protect Against Juice Jacking

This works when you are traveling and need to hook up your phone to the USB charger in the rental. It doe not down load your information to the car. Keeps your information safe.

My car is 4 years old and attempts to do the Android-Auto thing on it's screen. Almost, but nope, it's a mess. I just stick my phone up on a vent-clip holder, connect to the car's BT, and I'm fine. So, I use these on my car's USB charging ports so my car has no clue what's plugged into its USB ports. Recently traveled, and absolutely zero chance that I'd plug my phone into a random airport charger, or restaurant charger, without using one of these "charging condoms". They work exactly as advertised.

No dislikes, excellent for trave and when charging your phone in different locations.

As a data blocker used with my iPhone XMax, the product works as advertised. I tested each of the 5-pack devices, one at a time, connected to my PC desktop computer using an Apple USB data/charging cable. The data ceased to transfer when attempting to backup my cell’s data. My iPhone wasn’t even recognized, but my cell’s battery was still charging. I primarily made this purchase to avoid data hacks and malware at public charging stations, such as at airports. I did my test and the data blocker works. Now, I have peace of mind. The 5-pack is reasonably priced (vs buying singularly) for sharing with family and friends.

Easy to use and great protection.

I tested them by trying to back up my iPhone to my Mac via one, and it prevented the Mac from seeing it just fine. As far as I could tell, it didn't interfere with charging. The five-pack is great for those traveling with multiple mobile devices and a spouse who has some too. :-)

Worked perfectly. We have 2 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, and Samsung was stupid and made the USB charge not standard. It never charged at normal speed with any other cable. Well, come to find out, their cable doesn't have the data connection, or at least not all of it. So using this works! I have a USB amp meter, and with the normal charger, it charges close to 1.5A. With this, I was getting ~1.1A, which is plenty to charge even while using at full brightness or playing a battery draining game. So now, I can use any micro-USB cable! Take that Samsung!

A friend charged his phone from his company computer. The computer downloaded all his data from his phone, including all his pictures of him partying.. he lost his job for violating company policy.

Nice, simple data protection when using USB ports outside of the home.

Ces petits bloqueurs de données USB-A (USB "normal"/"Classique") permettent de bloquer tout transfert de données quand on branche son appareil sur une prise USB-A. En effet, il est recommandé de se méfier des bornes de recharges publiques (Gares, Aéroports, Centres commerciaux,...) à cause des risques de "Juice Jacking" (piratage de votre appareil via infection de ses bornes au préalable). Certains aéroports et certaines entreprises conseillent officiellement d'utiliser des bloqueurs de données sur ce genre de bornes. J'ai testé le produit et il fonctionne parfaitement. Aucun transfert de données n'est possible avec ce bloqueur de données. C'est rendu mécaniquement impossible car certaines pâtes de connexion ont été retirées (voir photos). J'ai l'impression qu'il n'y pas d'effet sur la vitesse de charge. J'ai lu dans les commentaires que certains trouvaient la recharge tantôt plus, tantôt moins rapide avec le bloqueur mais je n'ai pas remarqué de différence. Voici donc un gadget que je conseille à tous ceux qui sont fréquemment en mobilité et/ou qui se veulent très vigilants sur la sécurité. Perso, je l'ai intégré de manière permanente à mes connectiques de voyages.

I've not yet fully test to see these are working as expected as you plug them in and hope for the best but I'm sure if I took the time to test these fully they'd work as expected. bought as travel gifts for others and no-one is complaining so far.
