Pricey - additional plans are really expensive so make sure you know what comes as standard
The more expensive baby monitors and the extra plan is expensive for the extras. I purchased the more expensive plan because I am impulsive and not aware of what does/doesn't come as standard. A really good monitor for us though. The birdseye angle is a dream. We were able to change the height and angle so it was perfect. Clear image every time with no doubts of what's happening. I also got some of the breathing monitoring swaddles (not sure if this monitoring is standard) which has done wonders for our piece of mind. It gives us monthly ish videos showing us how much the baby has grown. It also gives age-related tips which have genuinely been helpful Everything is controlled through the phone which wasn't a problem for us, It has a 'background audio' mode which means the sound from the camera is being played on your phone in live time so if there is any crying etc you can hear it instantly without constantly checking your phone and having screen time. We end up turning this on in the evening time when watching TV so we can have one ear upstairs knowing what is happening. Notifications come pretty much straight away - no lag for us. Can also give family/friends visitor permissions so they can view only the camera. We were never interested in this though. The only improvement I would suggest would be to have some more buttons on the camera which we use often e.g to turn the camera and white noise on and off. Currently, all controlled through the phone. Definitely on the more expensive side but a really good product and recommended. If you're not bothered by the extra features and you want to do the basics then this would probably be overkill. But it has been unreal for us and we have loved it

Keeps Bricking Itself.
The nanit was okay while we had it. I’d say it’s a bit over hyped and is a glorified baby camera. Unfortunately it bricked itself after 6 months, then again once they replaced it. Pretty huge waste of money as my babies live longer than 6 months at a time.

The best baby monitor
My friend recommended the Nanit to me. It’s the most amazing baby monitor and came with stand. It tells us when baby wakes when a noise is detected. Tracks baby’s sleep and milestones. Really great baby monitor. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Great quality camera system.
Great quality camera system. You can review data and recorded moments via app.

Good idea but super overpriced
This could be the ideal way you monitor your baby and record memories but yet, after you spent £350 on the device alone, that's not enough for the company, you also need to pay another £75 annually for the basic plan. Yes, the basic plan. I get it's a cloud service where you got constant recording and data saved to a server but to block the user of features and data that's already automatically processed unless they choose to pay another £250 is just atrocious. They don't try to make money, they try to milk the customer as much as possible. Yes, it's a great product but if I knew I had to pay another £300 just to get the functionality that's advertised, I would never have bought the lamp post.

Feature packed baby monitor
The Nanit Pro is a great baby monitor with a lot to offer and good choice for parents looking for a featured packed baby monitor. The 1080p video quality is excellent, and the sleep coach feature is helpful for tracking your baby's sleep patterns. The breathing motion tracker provides peace of mind, especially for parents of newborns. However, there are a few things you need to consider. The app can sometimes be slow or buggy, and the night vision could be better. Additionally, it’s expensive.

The most disappointing/overpriced baby purchase I’ve made.
The most disappointing baby purchase I’ve made. The positives. The camera quality is amazing and the stand allows for a very good angle over the cot. However, for the price I really don’t think you get value for money with hidden additional costs. I bought this camera from a recommendation from a friend, whilst I was in NICU with my premature baby. At the time I thought I would require all of the extra features, but didn’t realise I would have to pay an additional high fee on top of the £250 I had already spent. The notifications and monitor loading are also slow on mine, so I have since bought a sound monitor separately for about £30 which I use as my first monitor and then check the camera as a back up if needed. I bought the monitor 9 months ago and actually only set it up about 3 months ago and it has also just decided to switch off a load of features which I did think came as standard…or would at least last a year. As I said a very good camera but a very disappointing/unclear experience from how the description reads. I could buy a cheaper monitor 10 times over for the money and feel I’d get the same results.

Subpar expensive hardware and subscription
I’m happy to pay for something when it’s good and if it keeps the baby safe and is informed. Nanit is just a cheap low resolution camera by todays standards, with non-premium materials, and really poor software as evidenced by the dozens of ghost motion notifications I receive all the time (screenshot and demo video attached). They must be off their rockers to ask £269/year for full functionality, in addition to £300 for the camera. Their web streaming works half the time, there’s no Mac, iPad or Watch app. There must be some quality baby cameras out there.
