Best small hard drive on the market I would say. My son has he steam game on these. No lag when playing games. You get what u paid for. So pay more for a reliable hard drive. Just put it in ur pc. Formatt it and works great.

No problem of installation and operation as a server HDD.

The drive seems to be as advertised. I have fitted it in the Tapo Hub H500. It was easy to fit and format as I said it appears to be working as expected. I will edit this post if any problems occur. Hope this helps.

Good stuff too bad I had to return it, it barely fit in the laptop, because the left side of laptop had a curve after installing and I did not wanted to damage it, it's almost twice as ticc as a regular 9mm one so if you are not Shure if it fits put 2hard drives on top of each other try close the lid on the laptop.

Bought this to go in my Eufy Camera Homebase. Works fine and provides enough space to record over a month with two high detail cameras continuously recording. UPDATE: The hard drive has now failed. It started making a lot of noise, constantly turning and the unit I use it in kept telling me the drive was unavailable. I’ve sent a message to the seller asking about warranty and had no reply as of yet. Looking at other reviews I would avoid at nearly £200 and a high element of durability and reliability.

It was delivered today, well wrapped with lots of bubblewrap in a cardboard box but the item itself was not in a sealed hard plastic case like the item photos show and there were no instructions, guarantee paperwork or anything else, just the drive in a sealed static proof bag and the Seagate label on the drive stating it was not for resale. I checked the serial number on Seagate’s website, the warranty was stated as expiring 30th June 2024, whereas the date today os 15th July 2023, nearly a year, short by 15 days. All looked genuine otherwise, I needed it to expand my Eufy Homebase S380, so 5TB will store more than enough video for future needs amd jt installed and formatted easily, If there is a problem in the warranty period, I have this review amd Amazon’s purchase history to back me up if it’s within those 15 days next year.

Really great value and works as I wanted it

Ich war auf der suche nach einer leisen HDD für meinen Desktop-PC. Vorher werkelte eine 2TB 3,5" HDD in dem PC. Diese war allerdings unerträglich laut. Deshalb habe ich mich dazu entschieden, eine 2,5 Zoll HDD einzusetzen. Die Entscheidung fiel auf die 2,5" Seagate Barracuda mit 3TB Speicher. Der erste Eindruck ist super! Die Festplatte ist kaum hörbar. Kann die gegenteiligen Rezensionen hier absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Ich gebe nur jedem den Tip, die HDD beim einbauen vernünftig "abzufedern" (z.B. Gummi-Unterlegscheiben zwischen HDD und HDD-Einbaurahmen), damit die Vibrationen nicht auf das PC-Gehäuse übertragen werden - dann klappt's auch mit der geringen Lautstärke". Zur Leistung der HDD siehe Benchmark-Screenshot im Anhang. Ich bin vollkommen zufrieden.

The thickness is about 15mm. Not suitable for external enclosure case (7.9mm). Useful for laptop or desktop devices.

Die Seagate Barracuda 4 TB ist für mich ein bewährter Klassiker. Ich hatte bisher mit Seagate-HDDs keine Probleme, und auch dieses Modell macht bislang einen zuverlässigen Eindruck. Einbau, Erkennung und Betrieb liefen problemlos. Für den normalen Einsatz als Datenspeicher bietet die Festplatte ausreichend Kapazität und eine solide Leistung. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt aus meiner Sicht wie gewohnt. Insgesamt eine gute Festplatte, die ich weiterempfehlen kann.
