There is a reason I have written fit and finish for a RAM unit.. fit is important especially if it is the first time you are buying ram off the internet and are unsure if it actually will. as for finish, it completely revamped the way my machine behaves and is finishing off the competition with awesome pricing :) very happy with this product and will recommend it highly for anyone looking for a good quality upgrade to their machine.

Worked flawlessly with my laptop, which is an acer aspire. Has 4gb of soldered in RAM allready, so knew that it wouldn't make it run faster, but was happy with the easy installation process. In my situation, with hardwired RAM, it either works or it doesn't, and I can confirm this one definitely does. I will add that if you're looking to upgrade your laptop, you should look up the clock speed and latency that the laptop is built for, as ram that deviates from this will either not work, be a waste of money as the ram can't perform at the standard of the integrated ram, or make your laptop run slower. Some research on the manufacturer's website, and crucial's forums, will be invaluable.

I have a laptop which cost me £160 brand new, a year or so ago. The reviews of it were not good, but I had to look at the price, and I thought that it would run better under Linux than Windows 8.1. I took out the hard disk enclosed and put in a SSD, which at the time cost £60, and installed Linux on it (PCLinuxOS, XFCE desktop). Now I've doubled the RAM by adding this card for under £18. Although identically specified to the 4Gb chip already present, it looks totally different, but as far as the hardware is concerned, it is being treated as a perfect match. For under £240 I've ended up with a laptop with a 15.6" screen, full spec keyboard with separate numeric keypad, and going FAST!! 4 stars because it's just a RAM card and what can you expect? But it works!! I ordered this on 25th August using Standard Free Delivery, and it arrived in the post on 26th August, it was supplied by CCL Computers, not through Amazon, so I have to say that the company is good, too!

Asus with only 4GB SOLDERED INTO MOBO was stupidly slow. To put in more RAM meant dis-assembling innards and pushing ram into usual slot ! Why hide it under everything and why make a laptop with only 4Gig if it isn't going to work ?! This Crucial 4gb module saved the laptop from scrapheap. No joking, it was that slow. Don't know what Asus was thinking.

Fitted to Lap Top. On first fitting to spare slot Lap Top would not BOOT. I asked for Return which was approved and re ordered just in case first one was U/S. Just prior to second one being received, I removed the Memory all ready fitted in the slot below, fitted the new Memory in it's slot and put the old Memory back into the spare slot, PC Booted and all was well. Returned the Re ordered Memory. This might be down to the NEW MEMORY taking president over the old Memory and needed to be in the No.1 Slot.

Bought to update old laptop. No problems.

Best customer service ever. Memory went wrong after 6 months of use. AH. DIREKT sent a replacementt from Germany without any questions asked. Much appreciated

Guter RAM funktioniert ordentlich schnell keine Probleme und wenigstens ist der noch günstig habe damit den Computer meiner Oma aufgerüstet und sie kann jetzt wieder ordentlich arbeiten vorher waren nur 8 GB drin und die waren bei vielen offenen Tabs an der Belastungsgrenze
