This is TTFD, a thiamine derivative from garlic, and one of the best-absorbed forms of thiamin (B-1), along with alpha lipoic acid, which is one of several vital co-participants with thiamine in the energy-producing cycles of the body. These are enteric-coated tablets, so the contents become available in the intestines, instead of in the stomach. I have seen the greatest reversal of B-1 deficiency symptoms using this form, so, although it is expensive, I shall continue to take it. The manufacturer/ distributor sells a 250-tablet bottle which is much more economical than the 60-tablet bottle offered on Amazon, but their shipping is not very speedy, so I have continued to buy the 60s from Amazon, even though I currently use 6 bottles per month.

Verified the lot with cardiovascular research and it was their current manufactured lot. Pill size using penny as backdrop. Posted because of concern as to legitimacy in other reviews. No idea what is correct. Look up website: Hormones matter / Dr. Lonsdale good information. Suggest Riboflavin and r-lipoic acid to maximize pyruvate dehydrogenase. YouTube Thiamine Deficiency in Children with Special needs. Good quick summary. Magnesium and Multi B likely good every few days as well. Stacks well with other forms such as sulbutamine and benfotiamine. Hangover/ sore throat after a few adult beverages? Red hot ears throat face after some foods like dried fruit or pickled items? Tickle in the throat after eating? Might be sulfite sensitivities-- supplements like allithiamine(TTFD), MSM, Taurine and other sulfur cycle related supplements, this seems to support bypass, conversion or elimination of man-made preservative sulfites/sulfates such as metabulsulfite that cause a reaction/sensitivity to foods. Lookup how the sulfite preservatives disrupt thiamine. Examples include dried fruits, hard ciders and most processed foods. They interfere with the sulfur cycle. Suggest review of the krebs cycle and the transulfuration cycle. Likely we need excess thiamine and/or msm to help get around our food preserving additives.
