Great simple product but be aware does not come with a power supply.

I bought this to replace a faulty TL-SF1008P 8-port switch, which powered two webcams.This unit doesn't come with a power supply, but I thought that shouldn't be a problem as the cameras said they only required 5.3v, so I had plenty of low voltage supplies for the job.What I should have considered is what the SF-1008P was actually doing. This unit (and my cameras) are IEEE 802.3af compliant; you don't need to know what voltage the units require, the standard is for 48v and then the receiving device tells the power unit what it needs.Had to order a new 48v supply (though could have used SF1008Ps) and now have two cameras and two VoIP phones (rated 48v) connected to a normally PoE less managed switch.If you have none IEEE 802.3af devices you can still use this, just be aware of voltages required.

Powers on - at least LED lit but no power available on output port - the unit has been returned but I am still waiting for a refund

does exactly what it says on tin. But there is no power adapter with it hence why 4 star and it should clearly mention that in the description

Item arrived on time but with no Power Supply, this should be in description.

Tried plugging in my Wireless Access Point (Cisco) or IP phone (Cisco) and failed to give it any power even though power cable to unit works with green light (tried two different power cables)

Didn't work at all, really disappointing. Tried all the ports and didn't get any power from any of them. Shame really, it would have been perfect for our CCTV cameras.
