This thing sucks and that is awesome
I love the dolphin cc pro. I was a bit hesitant given the price as I already had a polaris 3 wheeler that did a good job with leaves but floated around on the surface alot. The cc pro never floats around, it is always on the pool floor cleaning. I also had a perpetual problem of a general layer of dirt from leaf debris etc in my pool, you know it when you sweep and see it. Could never get it all out. Dolphin cc pro got out ALL of the dirt and ither nasties as well as leaves. It is super easy to use and the app works well also. I highly suggest you buy the ultra fine filters that did not come with this unit. They are around $100 (I bought a generic brand) but those filters really keep the collected dirt in the unit. The one thing that is weird is that it is a bit random on its floor pattern. It gets up everything and cleans the waterline, but it only runs for 2 hrs and I am not sure it is getting all of the waterline each time. You can run it with back to back sessions but I don't think it remembers where it went before. Not a huge deal but one thing. Lastly, my controller stopped working in the first week. Called the company and within a few minutes, they were shipping me a new one. So great customer service.

A constant headache and continuous cost.
TLDR; First few months were ok and then it turned into a nightmare. All of the "connected" features a useless because according to the company, it can only be in the pool while it's cleaning and then must immediately be removed once it's finished. Apparently pool water and sun are bad for this cleaner. I completely regret purchasing this cleaner. -- Details -- The first few months of using the cleaner were nice. Setup was pretty easy though it did take a few attempts to connect to the cleaner to the WiFi but after that it worked well. Then I started to notice that the cable going to the cleaner was deteriorating. I had to start cleaning the cable regularly because it would release light-blue particles into the water. It got so bad that you could see floating blue particles all over my pool. It was the end of the pool season so I brought it into the garage and got blue all over myself and anything that the cleaner cable touched. When I contacted Maytronics they told me it was because the cable is made of rubber and it was in contact with chlorine and sun and that I had to keep the cleaner out of the pool and stored out of the sun. They suggested I buy the caddy. They made me pay to send it to them to have the cable repaired which they did do and it was out of season so I didn't mind not having it for a few weeks but I was pretty upset that I had to pay for shipping which was expensive. I already paid over a thousand dollars for the cleaner and now I had to pay more to send it in for repairs after just a single 5 month season. Well, I got the cleaner back and now the app will not connect to it at all. Even worse, the app just sits there like it's loading but does nothing anymore. I've tried multiple android devices and iOS devices and nothing connects to the cleaner. For the most part, the cleaner now sits in the corner of my yard out of the sun which is super inconvenient so I don't use it as often and it's constantly trying to run a schedule which is pointless for a pool cleaner that is so sensitive to water that it can only be in the pool while it's cleaning it. What a lame product. A WARNING to anyone attempting to connect the cleaner to a WiFi network. The instructions state that the network MUST BE 2.4Ghz ONLY and not include 5.0Ghz. Now days most WiFi networks that have both wavelengths and apparently this thing is not compatible with that.

Excellent little Workhorse!
Love this little workhorse! This has absolutely changed my pool cleaning experience. I no longer need to use a traditional pool vacuum and instead use my Dolphin all season long. It is easy to put into the pool and get going. It amazingly cleans the walls; and picks up everything off the pool floor. I have not had a situation where the debris catching basket gets filled -- it is big enough to capture all the debris in one cleaning and it is easy to remove the basket and quickly clean it out with a hose. I've been using this product for over a year now and have no regrets about purchasing it. I have even found myself enjoying sitting around the pool watching my Dolphin work its magic.

Great robot, but won't sync
I had a Dolphin previously and it died after just 3 years. Rather than spend the money to get it repaired, I used that money to buy this newer model. I was excited about the idea of using a phone app to manage the robot, but it doesn't work. No matter what I do or even if I try other phones, it won't sync as it says the robot can't be detected. Looks to be an app issue per Google Play reviews where several others have the same complaint. It's a pain to have to go out and manually start it every day vs having it run on a schedule for 7 days. WIthout the app there doesn't seem to be a way to set the schedule. The robot cleans the pool well (I have a 20,000 gallon kidney bean) and usually hits all areas in just 1 cycle. Knocking one star off for the app issue.

CUR THE HOSE!! No more Hose Headaches!
No regrets! Cleans pool great none of the Polaris headaches worth every pennie! I dont know if it's because I have a smaller pool with shorter steps but I do wish it would clean the steps and climb over and clean the hot tub! Haa

Horrible product, horrible support, CEO Franck Sogaard clearly needs to go
My experience with this company (dolphin / maytronics) has been terrible. I bought one of these robots brand new and within 2 weeks it stopped working correctly despite following all of their instructions on how to care for the robot. I reached out to their customer service teams on numerous occasions over the past several MONTHS. I have received NO RESPONSES to multiple emails to their company. I have called on several occasions, and had to give up on a vast majority of those due to having to hold FOR OVER 2 HOURS WITH NO ONE PICKING UP THE PHONE. The one time someone did pick up after a similar amount of hold time, they were so utterly incompetent that after over an hour speaking with the lady, I had to give up. My time has value and I'm not going to spend days of my life trying to get support for a product WHICH IS UNDER WARRANTY WITH THE COMPANY. Honestly, the level of 'blocking' I have experienced should be illegal when trying to get warranty care. Now, I was just going to accept my loss and never do business with this company again, but I just received what is possibly one of the most infuriating emails I've ever had. The Maytronics CEO, Franck Sogaard, thinks it is appropriate to acknowledge their horrendous customer support over the past year, NOT DO ANYTHING TO SUPPORT ME OR MY BROKEN ROBOT, and then offer a 'gesture of appreciation' to LET ME BUY MORE OF THEIR PRODUCTS FOR 10-15% off. LOL. Ok, Franck. I think we know what the problem is - YOU. Franck has time to send marketing emails disguised as apologies, and yet no one at the company can return months old emails. Maybe, Franck, you should do something actually useful and start answering customer emails yourself. To be clear, the CEO of this company just acknowledged that their customer service is horrible in areas including slow responses, delayed issue resolution, and slow parts delivery. Here is the exact email, which combined with the above information should allow you to make an informed decision not to do business with this company: " I’m reaching out personally to say something we should have said sooner: we’re truly sorry. Over the past year, many of you contacted our customer service team for help - whether it was to fix your Dolphin robot, get replacement parts, or simply ask a question. And too often, we didn’t meet your expectations. We were slow to respond, delayed in resolving issues, and at times, left you feeling unheard. That’s not the Dolphin experience we promise, and it’s certainly not the one you deserve. At Dolphin, we pride ourselves on delivering joy, simplicity, and reliability. Your pool should be a place of peace, not frustration. And yet, we know that for many of you, our service fell short. We let you down - and for that, I offer my deepest apologies. We’ve taken your feedback to heart. We’ve made changes to our support systems, invested in faster part delivery, and restructured our service teams to ensure that when you need us, we’re there. These improvements are already underway, and we’re committed to earning back your trust - one clean pool at a time. As a small gesture of appreciation for your patience, we’d like to offer you a one-time-use coupon code for your next purchase on Maytronics.com🔍 Simply enter your unique code at checkout, and your discount will apply automatically: 10% off orders under $500, or 15% off orders of $500 or more. This code is valid for six months and will expire on June 2, 2026. " You have been warned.

It Vac's , but has challenges , Not 100% Impressed
For a $1,000 pool vacuum, it should effectively clean the pool of debris—and it does so proficiently and quickly. However, I have a few significant issues with the product: 1. Gets Stuck on Stairs or Shelves The vacuum frequently gets stuck on stairs or pool shelves and then shuts off. You won’t realize it’s stopped until you check and find it hasn’t finished cleaning. 2. Dust Filtration Unlike traditional suction-based pool vacuums that pull water and debris into the pool filter, this unit doesn’t capture fine particles effectively. After a cleaning session, there’s always residual dust on the pool floor and walls. If you brush the pool a few hours later, it stirs up clouds of dust that a suction-based vacuum would typically trap in a pleated filter. For its price, this vacuum should include better filtration capabilities. 3. Vacuum Retrieval Retrieving the vacuum requires using the power cord as a leash. This seems like a design flaw that could compromise the long-term durability of the cord. 4. App Limitations The app is underwhelming. It doesn’t allow you to store profiles for multiple vacuums, which is a basic feature you’d expect at this price point. 5. Weight While the vacuum feels well-constructed, it is quite heavy!!. Carrying the unit, along with the power cord and control module, can be cumbersome over any significant distance. Final Thoughts While this vacuum is great for quick and basic cleaning, it lacks features and functionality that lower-priced models can accomplish. For $1,000, I expected more.

In my experience they do not last more than 2 years, but they are excellent pool cleaners.
I have owned several Dolphin Pool cleaners and they ALL do an amazing job of keeping our pool spotless. The only issue I have with the Dolphin Pool Cleaners is they do not last past around the 2 year mark. The motor died on my first one. The motor died on my second one. I replaced the motor on my second one to save $500 and the motor died again. I am now on a new dolphin again, but I expect I will be replacing it again in 2 years. Still, after trying out a cordless pool cleaner briefly, the Dolphin still does the best job and I get to take credit for keeping our pool clean. P.S. Maytronics, please stop building these to fail in 2 years.
