Can you make cup of coffee?

You can use it to make instant coffee.The Teasmade boils water in a heating chamber, then siphons the boiling water into the adjacent teapot at a predetermined time.Instead of having the tea in the pot, you could put instant coffee into the pot.

Can you set the temperature of your tea and can you use any type of cup?

no you can not set the temperature. The water does not transfer to the tea pot until boiled. Yes you can use any mug/cup as the water goes into a tea pot and then you pour it into a mug/cup. The reservoir holds a pint of water which we find perfect for two mugs of tea

Water boils but doesn't transfer to pot

This is because it needs descaling. As it is so blocked it may need doing two or even three times to completely clear. To descale put any kettle descaler into the tank with a pot of water leave the top of the tank off and press tea now button wait for it to boil and before the water transfers switch off put top of tank on switch tea now on and water should transfer. After descaling boil again once or twice with clean water and rinse
