Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid Bowling Ball

Have yours drilled for down-lane hook, stand on the 40 board, walk toward the 12 board, let it roll off the tips of your fingers and watch it drive through the pins for strike after strike. I never saw such a ball. It’s amazing. Takes a bit to get used to and it hooks so much that at first, you won’t be able to keep it on your side of the head pin. Move left, 5 boards at a time and walk toward your mark, otherwise the reach will be too much. Best price anywhere on the Internet. A followup—after a few months of sailing this ball down the lanes, it soaks up oil pretty quickly so you need to have your bowling center cook that out for you every 200 games. You also need to resurface it with 1,500 grit Siaair and Crown compound. Was surprised how much this restored the ball to brand new.

I just recently got this ball (six days ago). Since using it, I have noticed a positive impact on my game. I use 10 lb house balls and this 13 lb that has been drilled for my fingers doesn't strain my arm more, but delivers much more pin striking power in the racks. Allows me to get much more hook than a house ball, but I feel like I am in control of my throw still, mostly at least LOL

First new ball in 25 plus years. I bowled on a men's commercial league in the mid 90's. My average then was 148....I haven't bowled for about 15 years now. I have had this ball since its release...my average is now 185. This ball in incredible! I picked the 15 pound because I'm now 52 years old...let's face it, my back isn't what it used to be. This thing hooks like crazy, but is also controllable enough to come up the back and get a pretty straight roll out of it also. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS BALL! My first ball up until I bought the Black Widow hybrid was a Brunswick Mica Reactive Zone...it was great but this Widow blows it out of the water!

Awesome ball. Versatile.

This ball was a gift for my bowling-enthusiast boyfriend and he loves it. He throws with a good amount of spin and it is consistent. Has improved his scores in comparison to the second-hand ball he had been using. It is not drilled, so factor that into the cost when purchasing--may be about the same after drilling at your local pro shop.

Excellent ball for when the oil begins to break down on the lanes (during league play)

My initial reason for wanting this Widow was the color scheme. The only thing I didn’t like about my Ghost was that I couldn’t get it in black and red. Well, then hammer did this. Beautiful! Then I heard it was coming with the HK22 cover stock and I got a little nervous. I had my 3-D Offset Attack drilled pin down and I’ve had a hard time getting it where I want it but when it hit right it hit like a freight train! Well I took the chance and I’m glad I did! It even convinced me to start through my Offset again. This ball perfectly fills the gap between my Ghost Pearl and my Attack on the back end. Hooks as hard as my Attack but with the smooth controlled action of the Gas Mask core and hits hard! Im back to being unimpressed with ham bones.

This is absolutely the best ball I’ve ever had in my 20 years of bowling. The ball does exactly what it’s advertised to do. The power on the backend is amazing and my scores have instantly increased. If you’re consistent with your release, it’d be hard not to increase your average with this ball. This is the first time I ever felt the need to come on Amazon and review a product because I’m just so happy with the ball. Definitely recommend!
