This American Crew Hair Fiber is a total winner. We bought this travel size tube to try it out, and my 14-year-old son absolutely loves it—it's become his daily go-to. No Greasy Look: This is the best feature! It provides a great, high hold that allows him to style his hair exactly how he wants it, but it finishes with a low shine that means his hair never looks greasy or crunchy. High Hold, Natural Look: It holds up all day through school and sports without looking stiff or plastered down. Great Trial Size: The size is perfect for trying the product, tucking into a gym bag, or for travel. A little bit goes a long way, so this size actually lasts longer than you'd think. Highly Recommended: This is a fantastic product for any teen boy who wants a styled look without the heavy, oily shine of traditional gels or pomades.

This is our favorite hair product for my boys! I doesn’t take much. It holds all day for the most part and It dries quickly. I love that it doesn’t make their hair look wet. The jar is small but a little goes a long way. It’s very thick so I always rub it in my hands first before applying it.

My husband loves the texture and look of this hair cream. He's been using it for years. He has thick, wavy hair and this keeps it tamed but doesn't weigh it down. It's thick enough to tame his hair. It's pretty easy to use--just put some on your hands and run it through your hair. The scent is pleasant and subtle. His hair doesn't look shiny when he uses this.

Bought all kinds of products! Needed non greesy feel/look, non crusty (gel ugh), natural, holds medium length hair up. Preferred to run fingers through hair and wanted a hold into day two. Winner: Crew Molding Clay. Others: Sauvecito Pomade firme - This is overly perfumed gel. It is crusty when dried. Hard pass. Crew Heavy Hold Pomade - Felt like the Sauvecito Pomade, less crusty and no fragrance. Hold wasn't as strong as other products. Crew Fiber - Second place! Smooth feel like grooming cream and molding clay had a baby. Hair needs to be drier when put in. Loses hold when touched though. Crew Grooming Cream - Thick grease feel. Holds very well but I didn't like touching my hair after -- which does not break hold when you do. Equate Pomade Medium Hold - This is what you'd expect from Pomade feel. Wears out in one day and loses hold though. Trendsetter Matte Wax - Got the sample pack which is highly recommend just for feeling out prosucts. Found medium not enough hold. Firm was right but their firm is too stiff and unnatural feeling. Sample pack size good for travel to touch-up places after the fact. Crew Molding Clay - Drier feel and hair just feels natural while fingers can smoothy go through -- which does not break the hold. Holds very well day one and holds like the pomade on day two. I reapply day two if I care. The dampness of your hair effects the hold -- all water based. So play with dryness when using a new product. I use molding clay throughout and grooming cream on my kalik so nothing gets out of place. Cream perfectly controls any straggler hairs. If I saved you money, you're welcome!

Ben says: If my hair had a hall of fame, this stuff would have its own wing. American Crew Fiber is hands down the benchmark for men’s hair products. The hold is strong without making your hair feel like plastic, and it keeps everything in place all day without that greasy or crunchy look. It’s also easy to work with—spreads smooth, washes off your fingers easily, and doesn’t leave residue. The scent is subtle and clean, not that overpowering “I just left the barbershop” cloud some products have. After years of trying everything under the sun, this is still the one I compare everything else to.

I’ve been using this crew hair fiber with the blue label for years now and don’t see myself stopping. The texture of the product itself is more like a wax that needs to be warmed in your hands before applying. I love the medium-firm hair hold that the product provides for basically all day. And even better (for me at least) is how the product leaves a matte, natural finish while delivering that hold. I have thick hair and needed a product that didn’t add much extra weight and this fit the bill.

Love this product. Not a fan of sticky sloppy gels that turn your hair to cement. Paste texture is easy to apply to hair. Keeps volume throughout the day and holds up to active lifestyles. Smells great too!

Great stuff. Hair still feels natural and soft, but has some hold. Doesn't make your hair clump. I used it when I had short hair, and now that I have long hair, it is still great to have for holding fly-aways in place when I put my hair on a pony-tail. Scent is mild, but really nice.

By far the best product ive used. This stuff is soft and works in well but also has great hold. It doesn't make your hair look greasy as long as you dont use to much. The smell is incredible and it lasts a long time.
