You will never run low on handkerchiefs if you keep this 12 pack handy. You can also take them on vacation or give them as gift.

Great for the price
In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, I have replaced kleenex and ear swabs with handkerchiefs. I think these ones are a good deal. In fact, I got some Dockers ones before I got these, and the Dockers ones are very poor quality and are already looking like cheese cloth after a few uses and washes. The Dockers ones are so bad, I can rip right through them like I am tearing a kleenex, they have degraded so much -- and they cost more than these Axxents ones. So I am getting more of these Axxent ones to replace the Dockers ones which are already wearing out and needing to be thrown away. These hold up quite well to use and washing. You get what you pay for. These are not $10/piece Dolce & Gabana handkerchiefs. For wiping your hands/face, blowing your nose, and cleaning your ears, they do quite well (in fact, I prefer to clean my ears with a handkerchief instead of ear swabs, as I don't get shreds of cotton in my ears -- same goes for blowing my nose and wiping my hands and face).I think this is the 5th and 6th set of these I have ordered. I like to have a lot of them on hand, and maybe go through a couple a day. If I have a cold, I can go through maybe 10 in a day, which is why I try to have plenty on hand. They are also GREAT for wiping eyeglasses and cleaning a TV or computer monitor, without leaving lint behind.Like I said, I have a shite load of these on hand, because you can use them for everything, and reuse them. I just throw them in with my laundry and they don't really take up any extra room. I am not so fastidious that I wash these with whites, or whatever. I just throw them in with the rest of my laundry, washed in cold water. They're still white, after multiple washings.I think you get what you pay for. You might be able to pay more and find a better, more linen-like hanky with a higher thread count, etc. But you may, indeed, pay more for some brand name (like Dockers) and get something that is inferior. I'll stick with these...

Plain with uneven texture, but absorbent.
I bought three types of handkerchiefs at the same time, Axxents, Umo Lorenzo and Dockers. Here is my review of the three against each other. They all are see-through when first bought, but thicken when they shrink after washing.Axxents is the thickest of the three. It is the most absorbant, though it is rougher than the other two and the texture is uneven. It is still a little rough after three washings, though it doesn’t bother me. Axxents has no design, which I like since I use clean handkerchiefs to clean my glasses and camera lenses and I worry that designs will scratch my lenses.Umo Lorenzo and Dockers are very similar. Other than the number of rows of design, they seem almost identical. They are both fairly thin, but very smooth and not scratchy at all. Umo Lorenzo and Dockers are both elegant looking and are good handkerchiefs to offer to a lady. Because they are less absorbent, they would probably get soaked faster than Axxents during hay fever season.I gave Axents 4 stars mainly for the absorbency.

Relieved to have found them.
I've been buying these for years. When it was time to replace my old set of 3 dozen, I discovered that they were no longer available through the usual online catalog. I checked Amazon and found them. I only purchased 1 dozen, not being sure if they were the right ones. They were. I just ordered 2 dozen more.If you have allergies or a condition for which you are constantly blowing your nose, these are fantastic. They are large, appear thin, and are stiff as a board when new. They shrink with the first washing, the fabric becomes more dense, and they continue to shrink to just the right size. They soften only slightly with the first wash, but continue to soften a little more with each washing. Using bleach in the wash will soften them quicker. You will get a few loose threads, they will shrink, and they are not appropriate for use as a fashion accessory. But! They last a very long time and their uses are many, right down to the tattered end. For blowing your nose, wiping your eyes, or wiping a baby's face...they're great!

soft, good quality hankies for blowing your nose
I don't want handkerchiefs to look nice in a pocket. I want them to use in the traditional manner - to blow my nose. Since starting to date the man who is now my husband, I've used handkerchiefs to blow my nose, wipe away tears, clean our son's face, and dozens of other tasks that come up. We both always carry hankies in our pockets. I always stole his, and since we're separated for a while I needed some of my own. These are perfect - exactly what I wanted. Soft enough to blow your nose or wipe your face. Sturdy enough to stand up to frequent washing and bleaching.

Great for arts/crafts
Used Sharpies and alcohol for a "tie dye" effect and it was a big hit with my senior citizens. Easy to use, I wish they were a little thicker, but overall good product for what I needed them for.

Very poor quality
I prewashed these because they were so stiff right out of the package. That softened them up nicely. But that's all the good that I can say about them. Here's the rest... They need a lot of ironing after washing. However, even after stretching and ironing them, these cloths do not retain a rectangular shape at all. Good luck folding them!Functionality aside (I haven't tried them yet), they look terrible. They are not cut or stitched in line with the grain of the fabric. The thread count appears to be very low. Also, immediately after just one washing, several of them have started to come apart near the center, showing pulled and torn threads. Even worse are the hems, which are already unraveled or otherwise destroyed.Seemed like a good buy, given the two positive reviews I read here. I'd blow my nose in them, or maybe use them for cleaning - but they're not worth the extra care in the laundry, let alone folding for storage or use. I'm seriously considering chucking them into my car or even returning them, they're so bad. Especially given the fact that they're already falling apart. Much worse than my older set of white handkerchiefs, which are only difficult to iron.
