they're good for what they, small storage steel boxes, but the random selections you get, and this is just my personal opinion are, just ugly. Update: some of them aren’t very well made, one of the boxes I received don’t close properly

These little tin boxes are excellent for storing various small sewing items. Needed a small tin box for some sewing pins I recently purchased and this set fit the bill nicely. Used one for the pins and the other three will be used for storing other sewing notions. Cute and functional for a good price.

I have one of these in each embroidery project I have going on. I put a thread wax in each one and when I trim thread, I put the ends of the thread in the container. I have a magnet on my thread trimmer so I can set it on to of this when I'm doing embroidery or cross stitch. It's basically a perfect little tin for changing thread.
