The only thing I could find about where it is made is their answer to that question a year ago during the initial Kickstarter:"we prototyped everything right here in NY, but couldn't afford for the small initial Kickstarter batch to be done here, so we had to go overseas (to a manufacturer we have a great history with). Just didn't want to pass along that extra cost (about 4-5x, in fact) to backers... it would have made for an insanely expensive spatula. But now, with all the help from Kickstarter, we'll be able to move to US manufacturing in no time! Q: Is the spatula handle firm all the way to the end with the hole in it? If not, how far from the hole end does the internal structure stop?

The spatula handle is firm all the way from the hole end to the middle of the blade part of the spatula. The tapered part of the blade is flexible but the handle is stiff and feels very sturdy. I use it to lift sticky, heavy gluten-free doughs from my Kitchen Aide bowl and have had no problems. Hope this helps you.
