### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does it actually work for books?

One of the main problems with bookcases and bookshelves is that no-one seems to actually design them to fit common book formats (such as A & B Format paperbacks or Octavo, Demy & Royal hardcovers). So I judge any product of this kind on how it actually works with books as opposed to potted plants or the other stuff people with too few books clutter their bookcases with. I purchased this item as a visual aid to use on my Youtube book channel to display a tranche of books spine on for background/photographic purposes and it works well, with one caveat- it is quite deep for the standard formats I mention above- if you're a booky person, you'll know what they mean- and it has only one strut as a base, which is its main flaw, so it's not great for A format paperbacks. Otherwise, it does the job, but as a permanent portable counter-top/table top bookshelf it will lack longterm durability unless carefully handled. Assembly? Simple, five mins max.
