I used this capacitor to replace one in my portable air conditioner that failed. It was a bit bigger than the old one, but it fit perfectly in the control box. It was easy to install, just clip on the connectors and screw in the securing band. So far it’s been working fantastic. It even solved the crazy power draw issues that the AC was causing (it was pulling over 20 Amps when the compressor kicked on). Now it’s only pulling a stable 7.5-8 Amps and it’s no longer tripping the breaker constantly. This thing was a lifesaver especially with the insane heat we’ve been having this week. I might even order a second one to have on hand just in case! Review: Product Accurately Described - This product was exactly as described. Part was installed immediately and functioned properly. At the time of this review, part has only been in use for 1 week. Time will tell the quality of the unit. ## Features - [2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BL77F3CY | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,475 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #5 in Industrial Electrical Capacitors | | Brand | BlueStars | | Brand Name | BlueStars | | Capacitance | 40 microfarad | | Capacitance Tolerance | 5 | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 89 Reviews | | Included Components | 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor | | Item Dimensions W x H | 1.97"W x 4.13"H | | Item Highlight | for AC Motor Run or Fan Start Cool Heat Pump Air Conditioner or Condenser Straight - Up to 30,000-Hour Life | | Item Shape | Round | | Manufacturer | BlueStars | | Material | 40 MFD 370-440VAC | | Material Type | 40 MFD 370-440VAC | | Maximum Storage Temperature | 70 °C | | Maximum Voltage | 440 volts | | Model | [Upgraded] 40uf 370-440VAC | | Mounting Type | Snap-In Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operating Voltage | 440 volts | | Part Number | [Upgraded] 40uf 370-440VAC | | Shape | Round | | Upper Temperature Rating | 70 °C | ## Product Details - **Brand:** BlueStars - **Capacitance:** 40 microfarad - **Material:** 40 MFD 370-440VAC - **Maximum Storage Temperature:** 70 °C - **Shape:** Round ## Images ![[2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71S7qns+uqL.jpg) ![[2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71B2K3BaDFL.jpg) ![[2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71AJCEEZJdL.jpg) ![[2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81h4BdqQOSL.jpg) ![[2026 Upgraded] BlueStars 40uf 370-440VAC Capacitor - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81R8HemDwIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great capacitor, does it job well! *by W***Y on September 9, 2026* Great capacitor.
