I bought this after I built a custom coffee table tank for my beardie, the lights I had came down too low. I love this light it works great in my custom tank very compact and easy to use.

We own 2 of these, one for a ball python tank and one for a leopard gecko tank. They both have Zoo Med night time bulbs in them. There are 2 switches controlling each light which are on the back. The bulbs do not touch the screen top which we were having a hard time finding one that didn't. The ball python is a screen rubber so I actually have Velcroed fabric on the inside of the screen and it does not get hot enough on the top to be worried about it catching on fire. I do have them both on light dimmers, with 2 bulbs on it was to hot but with 1 not hot enough, the dimmer solved the problem perfect. It has a nice sleek design that looks good too. I have had them both for well over 6 months and they are still going strong.
