Sturdy, great quality cards. Beautiful design, traditional face cards. You can play serious cards with a touch of whimsy attached. Great for elevated casual. Also, so much fun to get a deck of cards to match the personality of the person! With a family of card lovers my nieces were thrilled to have their own personal deck picked out just for them.

These are really nice playing cards. They are thick and seem like they will last a long time. They stand out just a little because they look like they are more expensive than they are. Get a lot of people asking where I got them.

My grandkids wanted playing cards and I bought each one a deck from this company. They are great quality, a fancy box and lovely design. And best of all, each child was thrilled with their deck of cards. It was a simple gift that is being enjoyed in this day and age when everything revolves around technology.

BEAUTIFUL, high quality, substantially weighted card. Gorgeous color! We bought some more expensive cards to keep in each room. We did that so that we would be inspired to play something together that didn't have buttons or a screen.

Colorful, white-faced and Bicycle quality cards. They were easy to shuffle right out of the box. Love the spades and clubs are a darker brown color, and hearts and diamonds are a dark burgandy. Would recommend to anyone wanting a different color other than red or blue backed cards.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was expecting shiny backs, but only the box has that metallic shine. Still very pretty cards, though. They feel nice, but do seem to be thinner than I'm used to from the Bicycle brand. They shuffle nicely and feel like they'll hold up to occasional family play, which is what I bought them for.

It can take a lot of time to find just the RIGHT deck that fits your environment. Verbena is the new 'house deck' for me. Theory11 'Artisans' was what I rocked for the longest time. Still good cards, but I needed burgundy, gold, and an acanthus-scrollwork "damask" design. Theory11's 'High Victorian' was just too busy for me. 'Monarchs' weren't burgundy enough; too bright-red. No shade towards either one (Bicycle/Theory11, they are just Coke/Pepsi). Apparently, Verbena was released two years ago, I just missed the boat. "Who cares, they're cards": You'll begin to split hairs over the cards you deal when you are the dealer, and it is your own house. You also avoid plastic slippery cards. And get picky over who you invite over to play them. DMC Elite cards for the guests you are forced to invite. And the squishiness of the play surface. Then you're paying attention to your room's humidity. It is a thing; some peoples' compulsion. Back to Coke it is with me and Bicycle. DMC Elites are like pre-WWII Fanta in both rarity and arguable ill-will. Go harder on the burgundy and gold, Bicycle. If each card even had gold foil (not just the box), I'll buy five. I'm not worried about easily-marked decks by my guests, it is the dealer they sometimes have to worry about.
