Does it come with installation instructions?

Yes, it comes complete with instructions which are on the box. (If replacing an existing intercom system like for like it will take no more than 5 mins to install) I have never fitted one, brought this model for my daughter as a straight replacement, installed it in a matter of minutes.

Please can you provide detailed instructions to increase the volume of the ringer. I am unable to hear if someone dials.

There is a switch on the bottom which has three levels , very loud to low

Yes very easy to change just do one wire a t a time , it looks the same as old try not to touch other wires when removing each wire , take your time . I changed mine in ten minutes.

Silly question. Do I need to turn off any electricity before installing this? Not sure where the switch would be located if so

There is no need to turn the electrical supply off as it is just a case of disconnect the old one and replace with the new. I recommend taking a picture of the wiring before disconnecting the old one so there is no confusion when wiring the new in. (instructions are on the box) Note: If there would be a need to turn your electricity supply off for other electrical reasons your switch should be located on the main fuse box.
