I took a chance using memory foam instead of normal pillow fluff. I really like how my cushions turned out. For my project, I only used these foam pieces for the cushion backs that you lean against. They compress down when you lay against them, but it’s really comfortable and they puff back up when you’re done. At first, I only ordered 10 pounds of foam, but that only filled 4 pillows (2.5 pounds each). I bought 5 more pounds to fill the other 2 pillows. I might get another 5 pounds later to really stuff them in since you can press them pretty tight, but for now I like the look. You definitely want to do this project on a tarp or something so you aren’t chasing pieces of memory foam around your house for the next month. You can see in the photo how much they expand.

So, after some complaints about not getting 5 pounds, I measured each packet and both were easily 5 pounds and a bit, even after taking into consideration the packaging.And there are two levels to the packaging. The outer one keeps the inner one in a cylinder and the inner one is the compressed foam.And, after following instructions (and basic familiarity with memory foam stuff), I emptied the compressed stuff into a large garbage bag. With one packet I had to do a bunch of hand separation because it stayed in clumps. With both, they had expanded as expected over 24 hours.A single bag, after expansion, measured 33" by 24" by 6". Which is more than 2 cubic feet. When the full 10 pounds was stuffed in my bean bag prototype, it measured about 36" by 33" by 10" and that is more than 6 cubic feet.The reason for the 3 star review is that the packets did not contain 100% memory foam. You can tell the difference between plain foam and memory foam two ways. One is squeezing and releasing a piece. If it immediately decompresses, as you are letting it go, that is plain foam. Memory foam will take a couple of moments to completely decompress. The other is that memory foam will stick if you press two pieces together and plain foam won't.It would have been 2 stars, but the expanded product has more volume that described.As this will still be usable for my project (and is hard to return in the current state) , I'll keep it. But I need more to finish the project and won't buy this again.

This product is great- clean (real) memory foam and easy to use to fill. However, it depends on what you’re using this for. I bought to fill mediation floor pillows and while it looks great it is definitely not supportive enough. I filled them to the brim and when you sit on them they completely compress to the ground. For a head or body pillow this would be wonderful but for a floor pillow you need something that keeps it’s form a bit more.

We have tried many different dog beds, and finally found a couple that she likes. One of her beds that she loves, has a memory foam insert that seems to go flat every now and then. So, when I saw this memory foam insert, I thought I would give it a try. I'm really pleased that there was more than enough foam to fill the insert, and it didn't have any weird smell when I opened it. Our dog seems to really like the new foam because she chooses that bed to sleep on every time. Highly recommend this foam fill.

I've been using a simple poly fill type of stuff inside the zip up pillow. After a while, it clumps together and I have to take it all out and fluff it up again.After a while, I know that memory foam as a tendency to compress . Thus, it doesn't offer its initial t support. For any of you who own memory foam pillows, you know what I mean. You go to bed, and after a bout 30 minutes, the pillow is too flat to support your head comfortably.After using it for about an hour, it works great so far and compresses just right for comfort! Much better than that poly fill garbage.Anyway, this stuff is the real deal. It's memory foam and expands just like the Amazon vendor explanation says it would. However, a 5lb bad is not going to fill a normally large bean bag. I would think to fill a large bean bag, you would need about 15lbs. For a king size pillow, it would be plenty, and maybe, depending on how much you want in each pillow, 5lbs would be enough for two king pillows.Since I just received this product, I can't tell you if it will last or just lose it's ability to reconstitute itself over time.

This is great foam for filling small pillows. It expanded fully after about 48 hours and didn't seem to have a smell to it. It seems to be quite soft while being supportive at the same time.

The stuffing came very compact but duplicated when i left it to air out for an hr. It is very ditry. It has a strong chimical smell, i hope it will air out as well. The material is not itchy, and i preffear this to the regular cotton stuffing. Price is little high.
