Got a nasty 2nd degree burn from transferring my tea water across my stomach (I won't lie, I should have gone to the emergency room. I've had previous EMT training and I hate the current USA medical system) and it was bad and it was hurting. I tried aquaphor and a nonstick pad at first, but that method still leaves scarring. I bought 3 packs of these and I'm on my third week and the wound is nearly all healed, new skin with very little to no visibility. NOTE: you WILL need to get medical tape to hold this patch in place and I recommend putting a gauze on top or a foam dressing. Why? 1. Prevent the edges from prematurely drying out 2. Have an additional barrier if the burn is going to be covered by clothing or frequently exposed to sunlight 3. If you are a pet owner to prevent pet hair from touching the wound. Longest I went is 5 days for one patch because I've tried saran wrapping while showering and it didn't go too well. Within 8 days, the blister fell off on its own with new skin underneath. New skin will be really sensitive so keep this on until the skin is no longer pink. Don't be worried if there is some gray on your wound, that's the silver. The cooling sensation is wonderful, and itching means healing! Pat the itching don't rub.
