Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator

I'm just a hobbyist that needs a respirator from time to time for all sorts of things from paint and solvents to insulation and sawdust. My old respirator was still working fine up until the elastic gave out and the filter cartridges would no longer hold into the respirator body. When looking for a replacement respirator, I didn't need anything fancy and was looking for a good value. Something that wasn't disposable, could take different cartridges and filters, that would last many years, and was comfortable to wear for hours at a time. This 6502QL respirator was ticking all of the boxes so I ordered it. Once I got the respirator and started fitting it up, I realized just how long I had been going without such nice features like the down-firing exhaust vent and quick latch. The down-firing exhaust vent helps minimize me blowing anything onto surfaces that I am painting or staining. The quick latch is super handy as I no longer have to remove the head strap or unlatch the neck strap to take off the respirator during quick breaks. Simply undo the latch and the whole respirator hangs below your face while being quick to hold against my face and re-latch again. It is quite the time saver and means I don't have to worry about whatever is on my hands or gloves getting into my hair or all over my neck! On top of those two super handy features, the comfort of this respirator is excellent. It isn't perfect, no respirator is, but my face doesn't get too hot, it seals up easily without too much pressure, and I can go hours with it on my face without hating it. Overall, I don't know if a better value respirator exists on the market. For the price, this one sure would be hard to beat. I can't recommend it enough!

Ok I de-burr steel parts at work with pnuematic tools all day in a fab shop. I was blowing my nose and getting black stuff so I tried a dust mask. Having to wear safety glasses the dust mask would push my exhaled breath into my glasses and fog them. This has a nice wide and soft rubber seal (make sure you shave works better) The bottom strap un latches and makerrrs it super easy to get on and off without stretching it over your head, and the quick release latch is awesome for when co-workers need to ask me things etc. I just wear iit when someone else is sanding metal near me or im doing the sanding. The pads pinch when you breath and expand on breathing out you can see it working! No more black junk in my nose or sore throats! I bought the regular white pads cause im just dealing with steel dust. when i get to welding on the MIG Ill get some fume and gas resistance purple pads. Such a great item for work I'm so grateful for it! & im writing this sucker off my taxable income along with every pad I ever buy! Go Deductions! I plan on replacing my pads out every friday, and at 4$ per set that will be 200$ a year off my taxable income!

This mask was purchased along with some ammonia filters so I can clean the cat’s litter boxes. I can’t stand the ammonia smell. This mask is so easy to put on and take off. It’s very comfortable and could be worn all day easily. The fit is perfect. I know it says that you should be clean shaven for proper fit. However I have a full beard that is rather long and I don’t want to shave. This mask fits perfectly and doing the fit test to check for leaks, I have no leaks even with a full busy beard. As a home user for personal use this is acceptable. I plan to purchase other filters for it to do painting later on, and dust filters for when I’m in my workshop doing wood working. Time to replace those single use masks and use this one. Great product, very comfortable, easy to use, perfect fit, and my wife says it looks sexy.

I needed something to maintain me healthy while 3D printing particulates and glue fumes. My printing room situation isn't well ventilated. I also bought the combo filters for this specific goal. The mask itself is light and comfortable enough. Once properly adjusted, forgetaboutit. I bought a medium, fits great. Sturdiness and durability seem inline with my needs.

All right so the mask is good and the issues are with Amazon not the mask. Mask is great. It will do everything you needed to do. It’s 3M you can trust it, but it also came with a hole in the bag, which is not OK that can lead to contamination and there’s no reason for there to be a hole in the bag which was clearly made by someone’s fingers. It was also unzipped at the Ziploc portion and that doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Why would it be opened and why is there a hole in it, Amazon? These should’ve sealed and unopened until the customer gets them. Not opened in your nasty distribution centers so you can let the air out and fit more of them in your bins. They’re sealed with air in the bag for a reason. BS on your part. The mask is a high quality mask though and 3m is awesome. I’d give it five stars but part of the mask is how it’s cared for prior to you getting it which is on amazon in this situation.

Very well made, comfortable, and it works very well to keep dust out of my lungs. I use this while making and sanding the handmade wooden bread bowls that I chop out by hand. I have asthma, and sinus problems - both of which are greatly irritated by my bowl making "if" I breathe in much dust at all. My shop and work area are totally covered by literally measurable amounts of fine wood dust. This solves the problem for me, and may work for you also.

I use this to filter out solid atomized airborne particulate (not vapors/ fumes ) while working. Does a great job, my mouth is not obstructed within this equipment & I can breathe normally. Filters are very easy to swap out for new ones. Easily adjustable for a snug but comfortable fit.
