Sturdy, does the job well
I got this for a 150lb, 6-foot heavy bag for practicing Muay Thai. I installed it by connecting two studs using 3 pieces of 2x4 and attached the hanger to the connecting pieces. From there the installation was straightforward and the included hardware has been sturdy. The hanger has a quality feel to it based on the weight. I installed it in my laundry room where there's plenty of space, so I like that I could potentially swing the hanger to the side to minimize the footprint of the heavy bag, even if I haven't felt the need to do so yet.

Well made.
Sturdy, easy to install, and confess with all the mounting equipment you'll need. 👍

decent hanger so far, you may need to do some extra to get it just right
I'm using it with Goplus 110 pound bag and Meister 250 pound spring and it has been doing good so far. I did drill the holes from what I measured to be 5/16" to 1/2", the 5/16" was simply too small. I wanted the larger threads to grip strongly onto the 2" x 10" (1.5" x 9-1/4" actual) x 24" board. I used 1-1/2" long x 1/2" thick bolts to mount to the 2x10 along with 1/2" washers. To mount this to the wall, I used 5" LedgerLOK screws to get beyond the board, drywall, and into the studs. Be absolutely sure you screw into the studs the first time. Don't assume the studs will be perfectly 16" on center, you must account for this. Get a magnet set for about $10 or stud finder and thin tape to mark the studs to determine if they are 16" on center or make adjustment. Then, you can make all the marks on the 2"x10" board, pre-drill the board, and screw to the wall. Be sure when you get the 2x10 or 2x12 you get the straightest board that isn't splitting at the ends or cupping. I can tell this setup is far better than the provided hardware, this setup is solid, and can really take a punch and makes me more productive in my training. I also painted the board black to give it a nice finish. Take the time to make it look nice. I also used the 2x10, bolts, and washers for a LoGest 60066J sit-up bar right beneath which is out of the way. This is a decent hanger if you really can't or don't want a ceiling hanger. You will need to take the time to get all the extra stuff to make it just right.

So far this mount has been great. 100 pound bag.
Added a heavy duty spring to absorb much of the energy. Provided hardware/fastners was quality. One spot where the weld could have been better/completed, which will result in premature failure.

Great for the price.
You need someone to help assemble this! But I’ve had my bag up for over 6 months with this and it’s working great. It does have a loud squeak to it when the bag sways, but I’m sure you can buy something to ease the sound.

Excellent structure
excellent so far. Installation was a breeze. I have a large water drop bag that is brutally heavy. At full extension, both lateral and vertical, this structure doesnt even flinch at holding the bag affter long hard sessions. One month so far. lets hope it stays that way

Seems ok..so far, but I'm not confident long term
So I recently purchased this bag hanger because I wanted to take up less room in my garage gym. It seems to be made of excellent material and the welds look good. My primary concern is that the back plate is too small, and didn't have enough mounting holes. It says this thing can hold 800 lbs, but I have a 150lb bag on it and it definitely bends slightly. Because the plate is so small, it's tough to mount to a wall. Most people aren't going to have a 8x8 to mount it in to. SO, I had to get a 2x12 and mount THAT on the wall first, right into the studs. Then added another 2x12 piece on top of that, to give more substance for the lugs attaching the hanger to the wall to grab onto. So there's about as much support as I could provide given the dimensions of this hanger. When I strike the bag and it swings, I just fear one day it's going to pull right out of the wood, it's just a matter of time. I do have an uppercut "donut" that attaches to my heavy bag, which I can place on the floor to limit its swinging, and that seems to relieve a lot of the stress on the wall. I wish the backing plate was at least wide enough to go right into studs, but also longer, to provide more support when the bag starts swinging. Perhaps shorter, lighter bags aren't as much a problem, but be wary mounting a large, Thai bag. Plan ahead at how you can safely and securely mount it, knowing that the plate will be too narrow to drill into studs.
