Alligator arms
Rey handy and pretty strong magnets. Not real great on round surfaces, but does the job.

Better Than the More Expensive Ones!
So happy I researched helping hand stands and bought this one. It does everything the more expensive ones do at half the price. Well constructed and has two fixed arms and two magnetic arms for maximum versatility. Yes the magnets are strong. I tested them and there is no movement when holding items. The base is large enough to handle my soldering projects. Everything is included in the kit. I’m impressed.

Not a rare earth magnet
I needed some extra arms to support my quadhands soldering station. These were much cheaper than buying genuine ones. They seem fine, with one exception. The magnets are just normal magnets. When you adjust the arms, the base will often break free. On the genuine quad hands, the base doesn't move at all. I pulled the sticker off the bottom and popped out the magnet. I'm going to replace it with a rare earth 18x3mm one. That should fix the issue. Update: I replaced the magnets with 20x5mm rare earth magnets. They fit but stick out a tiny bit. Unfortunately, while better, they are still not as strong as my quadhands arms - by a lot. It is basically OK but irritating. With the information I have now, I'd probably by the genuine thing. Update 2: Success. I learned more about magnets than I really wanted to. I found these N52 Realth Magnets Disc 0.79” x 0.08” 12 Pack magnets and decided to try one more time. They work great and now the arms stick just like the quad hands.

Works great
Well built, heavy enough to stay in place. 2 of the arms are fixed 2 are movable with strong magnetic base that keeps them in place. Arms are stiff and stay in place when you bend them.

Help hand
The product is exactly as described and is an excellent tool to have when needing an extra hand to hold a wire. Makes soldering much easier

Strong magnet
It has a strong magnet to hold sturdy to solder wires. Flexible enough to position wires to get to.

Magnets are weak...
The gooseneck feature is great, and luckily I had previously bought the bolt-down version of the same thing. The magnets on these are barely adequate to actually hold anything for soldering, so I glued them down. Please keep that in mind before buying these.

Way way better than the old tool I had!
I used to use the smaller soldering holder (right side of pics). It was the only thing I knew existed so that’s what I used and I never liked it. The fingers were limited in their range of motion, the arms would sag with any sort of pressure, it would sometimes move with the slightest touch so I would often need to clamp it down, it was overall barely usable. Then I saw this item. It is 1000x better. The yellow metal base is fairly heavy for its size. There are 4 larger rubber feet on the bottom to help provide some friction. The 2 arms on the side with the indent are fixed in their positions but the other 2 arms have magnetic bases and can be moved anywhere on the yellow plate. With 4 arms, I can now hold things I need to solder more steady without having to use spare finger(s) like I needed to with my old soldering tool holder. Very helpful indeed!
