The pen indeed holds lot of ink. I'm not sure about 40-50 words per dip. But it's not necessary to dip often as other dip pens. The pen is smooth. I felt scratchy on one side while writing. I wrote a couple of words on 2000 grit sand paper with water. Then it's not scratchy anymore. I had only one small disappointment though. The seller did mention the colour of ink is gold. But the package I recieved had a turquoise blue ink. I like that colour too. But seller could've mentioned random colour in their item discription. I needed a non glittery ink. So ordered another ink bottle with it 😔 The pen looks elegant and royal. Its not hard to write with it. After testing it out for few minutes, I got used to write in it like regular pens. The tip off immediately when I started writing with it very bad quality of the tip pls don't add pressure to the tip but overall it is okay

The tip broke just after 2 uses.

Love the pen. It looks beautifully. The pen design/ colour is diffrent per customer. The box is also diffrent. Its also abit hard to write if your paper is not on the smooth surface. But once u figure out how to get the pen flowing, it works great.
