I liked this one a lot, but it got put in the dishwasher when I wasn't home. The container completely melted. Luckily, the ring and stand work well with a 16 oz. wide-mouth glass canning jar. So I am able to keep using it, but with a different jar.

Plastic jar, too small to use. I pretty much just used the lid with another larger glass mason jar. The stand and tray worked fine with the larger jar.

I love it, it works very well for sprouting my lentils for my chickens as a treat!

This sprouting kit by Emsiok has everything needed to start sprouting. Some of the components were good, and others could stand improvement. The container provided is made of thin walled plastic. I am sure It will work for a while, but it is clearly not dishwasher safe, so it will need to be handwashed. The lid and screen are made of 304 stainless - a lower grade of stainless steel than I am seeing elsewhere. It too will work for a while, but it is inevitable that rusting will occur and the lid and screen will require replacement. The Frame stand is nice and it seems to be quite sturdy. The catch tray is a good size for the plastic jar, and is very convenient to have. I placed one of my mason jars with sprouting lids on it and it works for that, too. I don't know if the tray is dishwasher safe, as I hand washed it after sprouting. I will continue to do so. The cleaning sponge is good, and the two-piece handle is a clever way to reduce its size while being stored. Finally, the bag for blocking light in the sprouting jar is OK - it doesn't fit perfectly as shown in the photos on Amazon, but it will work for the task - I would have prefered a neoprene mask, rather than this bag with the top that you synch tight to seal the jar from light.Again, all-in-all you get the complete kit that will meet your needs, but it could be improved so as to enable it to be more durable.

Do not purchase this thin, flimsy product!

I have NO idea why there is a flavor rating on this listing - there is no food included. However, I needed the stand and tray for another beautiful jar I had and it worked perfectly. The stand can be tightened to use a glass jar. The one this comes with is PLASTIC but still not a bad jar. I saved it for a bug jar for my chickens. LOL. Really pleased with this!
