The Scosche SAT69 Speaker Adapters are fantastic! I used them to install 6.5” speakers in my Toyota Tacoma, and they fit perfectly without any hassle. I bought the Polk DB651, the mounting bracket that came with these speakers did not fit my car, so I'm glad I ordered these adapters. They fit my car perfectly, but not the Polks. I can't ding them for not fitting the Polks. I had to use my soldering iron to put pilot holes in these adapters to I could secure the speakers to these adapters. It got the job done and I was able to install my speakers perfectly. A side note: getting the door panels off my '09 Spectra was relatively easy. There is one plastic anchor located on the upper inside (closest to car if door is open), use a philips and press the middle part in and it will pop out. There is a little cover located behind the door handle, pop that out with the smallest flat head you can find, there are two philips heads behind that. Pop off the arm rest section of the door panel, carefully pry up until you can get your fingers under it and pull straight up with a bit of force. Two philips heads are found here. There are two more hidden philips heads, one upper outside, one lower outside, pop out the inner circle only. Once all these screws are out, you have to pop out the door anchors from the frame. Pry the outside trim carefully, then start pulling towards you until you hear it pop out. Do this all the way around the panel. Once it's free, pull straight up and wiggle out of place. Then disconnect the wire harnesses inside and you're done. To re-install, start by putting the top in first, making sure to get the metal guides in behind the metal door frame.

This is a basic, one-piece adapter to fit a 6.5 or 6.75 speaker into the factory 6x9 opening. Alignment of all holes was good. I like that the mounting ring for the speaker did not protrude too much (about 3/4 inch), so door trim clearance is not a problem. I mounted a JBL GTO608C 6.5-Inch 2-Way Component System woofer and the holes lined up well. The plastic has a little flex to it, slightly more than the factory bracket because there are no reinforcing ribs. This might cause a buzz/rattle problem. I put Dynamat 10455 Xtreme Bulk Pack 9 Sheets on both sides of the adapter to help with this. A better solution might be to put a strip of foam on the backside between the adapter and the door. Otherwise, a quality piece at a good price. I am happy with how my install turned out using this product.

Worked on my front aftermarket speakers for my 2007 Tundra Crewmax. Install using this was easy.

Picked these up to replace the JBL speakers that came in my 2004 4runner limited. They were sounding aweful and one of them were blown. Anyway I tried to fit the Kicker DS65 6.5" Coax Speakers into this adapter and it would NOT fit. To have it fit i wouldve had to shave away some of the plastic which would have been a huge hassle. The back kind of sticks out and the speaker wont fit flush. The Alpine SPS-610 on the other hand fits perfectly. Bottem line the adapter fits most speakers and fits perfectly in a 2004 4runner.

Fit my car but does not fit 6.5" speakers which is what they are for. They are far too small the holes are completely covered by the speaker itself. They measure about 5 1/4 inches.

Fit as expected. Mounting “holes” are not holes they’re just cutouts for the speakers. Fit directly to factory mounting holes which is a major plus.

Used these on 2004 Lexus RX330 so I could install aftermarket 6.5" speakers. They fit perfectly, no issues. Very durable.
