Great product! Relieves pain and heals!!
It works!! I don't know why but I see some bad reviews and I think people either don't know how to use them or are using them wrong. These really are a lifesaver and make it heal a lot faster. I noticed if I put it on the area of my lip and there's not an overproduction of saliva and I hold it on there for like 1 minute long enough for it to attach to the skin, it stays on for a while. If it gets wet first it won't stick. You can even dry it with a cotton ball first. These are the only things that have helped relieve pain and heal it faster at the same time. I do recommend only using half if it's not real big because you get twice as much uses out of it and that way if it doesn't stick then you can try with the other half. These do not stick to gums and I think the closest to your gums the harder it is because of the amount of saliva that sits in your mouth in that area. But like I said hold it on long enough until you know it's attached and you should be good! Also, if you are constantly messing with it in your mouth it won't last as long because you will wear down the gel on the tablet. If you can get it to work properly it's 100% worth it and don't give up. If it doesn't work the first couple of times keep trying. I noticed another review also said that there was no phone number to get a hold of the company but my package came with a card with an email and phone number for dentemp on it. So maybe they did not receive one?? I will attach the photo here! I have not tried contacting the company as I haven't had any issues. I definitely recommend this over any other product that does not work or only takes away the pain for a few minutes. The photo of the tablet in my mouth is 2 hours after applying.

Love! Def get these over other brands
LOVE IT. It can be a bit weird on the inner lip given it will stick to your teeth and kind of get gummy BUT it works almost instantly. It kinda looks like a pill which threw me for a minute, especially given the thickness, but I'm guessing that's just cause of how much medicine and numbing is in it. My experience: I had a horrible canker sore in the center of my upper lip and it was making it hard to even eat or talk. These things however numbed up and medicated the sore so fast! Easy to use, just stick the white side against the sore and you're good. I only kept mine on for like 30 min and when I took it off, I felt so much relief and the sore was gone the next day. It does have xylitol, an artificial sweetener, so just be sure to keep out of the reach of pets.

I tried it out of desperation
I gave this item a try out of desperation. Those of us afflicted with canker sores, especially in odd locations inside the mouth, know the unrelenting suffering that comes with a flare up. After reading all the reviews about this item and having nothing left in the house except a salt and water rinse option, I decided to try ONE tablet, just to see if it would help. It was really difficult to affix to the sore - the tablet is bulky and the sore was not in a flat location. Just as I got the pill stuck to the sore, it kind of also stuck to my finger (yes I followed the instructions about how to apply) and pulled slightly away from the sore which caused a lot of pain. The tablet sat in the spot for about 35 minutes then it started to gel and congeal. It didn't feel so bad at that point, just kind of bulky. I sensed the slight menthol taste but it wasn't overwhelming. About two hours later it had expanded significantly and became a giant-sized slime blob. It eventually started to stick to a few nearby teeth. That wasn't the problem so much as once it started to stick elsewhere it tugged away from where it was supposed to be so there was kind of a ripping feeling away from the sore and of course more pain. It's a very difficult thing to manipulate and if you attempt to, be prepared with tissues and swabs and lots of uncontrollable drooling. Like another reviewer, I attempted to "trim" the outer parameter of the blob and gently used a toothpick on the outside area of the sore. Unfortunately, what remained of the sticky blob just kept expanding in its place. I decided to just leave it be and let it run its course as it seemed way too risky to remove it. In the end, it didn't contribute to healing the sore but it did cover it up for a few hours. I have yet to find a good OTC product that works to alleviate the pain, as well as the canker sore itself. Most, like this, are very expensive and yield mixed results at best.

Expensive but woorth it
A friend recommended this product to me when I had two large canker sores. The tablet adhered well to the one inside my lip, but it kept slipping off the one under my tongue. I had to adjust it and held it down with my tongue until it stuck. I woke up in the middle of the night with my lips slightly stuck together. The gumminess reminded me of rubber cement from when I was a kid. I removed some of the gel, but the results were fantastic—I only needed one application. My canker sores were no longer painful and started healing. If you have a sore near your lips, it might be best to apply this over the weekend when you can stay at home.

This works!
This DOES work. It completely covers the sore which keeps it away from the acid in your mouth that keeps canker sores from healing. It also completely stops the pain while it’s on. If you apply it wrong it will *not* work. It’s all on you. It cuts healing time down from 10 days to 3. It turns into a huge, thick disgusting gelatinous blob, which is exactly what it’s supposed to do, so I use it at night while I’m sleeping. I break it into quarters because it expands, and expands, and expands! and covers the whole sore. What works: BAKING SODA. If I bite my lip, I immediately start putting baking soda on it 3x per day. I get a weird taste in a spot where a sore is starting so the second I notice that I use the baking soda. Baking soda oftentimes prevented the sore from developing at all. I brush my teeth with straight baking soda while that’s going on. Tylenol. I’m not generally an idiot so I’m not sure why it took me decades to figure out that pain medication works. Do not use Advil, Alieve, meloxicam, ibuprofen. All of those *cause* canker sores. I finally had to start telling Drs I was allergic to meloxicam to stop them from prescribing it. Silver nitrate is something a dentist can apply. It cauterizes the sore. It doesn’t ‘sting’ when it’s applied, it is searing agony. Other than an actual canker sore it’s the worst pain I have ever felt. Tears rolling down my face, I felt it in my whole jaw. And then it’s gone. Completely. 100%. The whole thing, the sore, the searing agony; all of it, gone. Use only SLS free toothpaste. I use hello for kids. It works plus it’s sparkly & tastes like bubblegum! Whatever you use, it must be SLS free. AVOID! Chocolate Anything with any citric acid. (Did you know there’s citric acid in jelly beans?!? Yeah, me neither. Now I do though!) check all labels to make sure. Any & all forms of Vitamin C Sushi (Sushi?!?!? Yup, don’t eat any sushi while there’s a canker sore situation going on. Back to this product: Apply it correctly and then leave it alone! Don’t poke at it, pick at it, try to move it, nothing. Leave. It. Just enjoy the globby, gelatinous, stuck all over your mouth pain relief it provides.

Works ok once it's actually on
This product is exactly what I was looking for - an actual barrier to protect my canker sore rather than the numbing gels that only last for about 15 minutes. It's pricey but they also appear to be the only product like this. The issue I had was getting this to actually stay on. My canker sore is inside my bottom lip, so yesterday I followed the directions of holding the white part on the sore for 10 seconds then waiting 30 minutes for it to gel over. Well, the back of it kept sticking to the front of my bottom teeth. I would pull out my lip to get it off my teeth, but it kept staying on my teeth instead of on my lip. I'd pull it off my teeth and try again but it wouldn't really stick to my lip at that point. I eventually gave up and that tablet was a waste. I tried again today but held it on longer (about a minute instead of 10 seconds) and tried really hard to keep my lip sticking out and away from my teeth (think Bubba from Forest Gump). It did still stick to my teeth, but I waited longer so there would be more of a seal on my lip. I then used a toothpick to gently separate the back from my teeth *without pulling out my lip*. This allowed me to get it off my teeth without messing up the seal to my lip. I had to separate it from my teeth 3-4 times and it took about an hour to really be set (as opposed to the half hour it says on the package) but now it's done. It does seem to be working, but definitely not something you can apply 15 minutes before walking out the door for work. It's big but I can still talk and everything ok - just feels weird.

Magic
This stuff is magic. It’s effective and last a long time. I didn’t feel my sore the whole time I wore it. It is quite big and someone who likes to mess with things that was an adjustment. It says 30 minutes don’t eat or drink but I would go an hour before it’s gelatinous and even longer before the orange side doesn’t stick to your tongue or teeth so tiny sore I wouldn’t bother. I had a sore at the tip on my lip inside my mouth the size of a BB so I was DESPERATE for relief. It stays on very very well. I held it on the sore for about 20 seconds instead of 10 and I’d also wait an hour before eating or drinking

As an experienced canker treatment tester, this is my number one go-to.
I've tried 'em all. My medicine cabinet is full of about 10 different canker remedies... anbesol, manuka honey, canker-rid, KANKA, and way more. Upon trying canker cover a few months ago, I finally stopped buying new stuff because it works perfectly for me, alongside zilactin-B: - This product (canker cover) provides the best protection and my sores heal more quickly than with anything I've had before. That is because I finally realized that the biggest reason for slow healing is that they get poked and prodded without noticing during the day or night. If your canker sore hurts during the day, that means your actions are preventing it from quickly healing and the best thing you can do is physically protect it. Apply this as early on as possible and the sore will not last long, and make sure that you don't get the canker cover wet before applying it, or else it won't stick as well. Canker cover is the only product I've tried that very sturdily protects the sore, and keeps it reliably sealed so that food doesn't get in. It is especially useful at night, I was frequently hurting the sore while sleeping unawares. - But, for sores that are near the lips, canker cover is quite visible. So when I'm going to eat with a friend, or singing in choir, I use Zilactin-B to cover the sore. Zilactin-B provides noticeably less protection than canker cover, but still makes a world of difference compared to having nothing. Make sure not to put too much or on too wet skin or it won't ever properly dry, and it'll just fall off. Too little, and you get less protection. It may take a few times to learn how to apply it right. Those two are the perfect combo. I've been meaning to leave this review for months because forreal this has been a huge help to me. Canker cover in particular is a bit pricey but 100% worth it. Another thing that helped was getting my sharpest "wolf teeth" ground down at the dentist (they did it for free, took 5mins). Also, brush regularly and drink lots of water ;) Edit: Also! I recommend Squigle toothpaste, it irritates the sore less. I use the version with fluoride. My sores usually peak at just under 1cm diameter if not treated and are usually inside the mouth. Canker cover will probably not work for sores on the tongue, but Zilactin-B will.
