Higher Is Waiting

I expected a fun easy read, it was that and much more! My life experiences and the work I do allows for me to know what forgiveness could do to move people forward. I expected to get some insight on how this man writes so much brilliant work, intrigue and educate the people. I didn’t expect to shed so many tears. I did expect to be encouraged so then the tears were wonderful cleansing tools that leaps one soul forward. Thank you Tyler Perry for writing this book. Thank you for giving so much of yourself, letting your light shine. May this book do for hundreds of millions more that we all let our light illuminate this world on this little blue planet that The Creator may be pleased with humanity! Faith, hope, forgiveness, empathy, compassion, worthiness, awareness, belonging...Yeah I’m Encouraged! “There’s no magic time machine to reset the clock or reinvent our childhoods, but we can alter the present and future by changing how we think and feel about what’s happened in our past. No matter how difficult or disturbing your memories, they don’t have to crush your soul. You can transcend your experience. You can change your reaction. You can forgive.” Tyler Perry Higher is Waiting is for everyone, however I do understand not everyone is ready at the same time to do the hard work, but I encourage you to take the small steps and get it done, the benefits are priceless. Mr. Perry uses his life experiences, lots of lessons learned the "hard way," to help others move through difficult times and be inspired to live and amazing life filled with grace and possibilities! After all the tears during many of the storytelling, at the end of the book Tyler Perry made my heart smile and filled with gratitude! Thank you for writing and sharing your journey from a vulnerable authentic place. God speed! I read all day on 12/16/17 and finished on 12/17/17 1:17am. I couldn’t put it down, besides a brief three hour on the road running errands. This book was a wonderful treat to spend a day being inspired that will benefit people to move forward.

I loved reading this book, and I'm now reading it again. Tyler Perry bares his all and holds nothing back in telling the truth about love, pain and the struggles of life that we all go through. He is beyond inspiring. He is a great teacher. Whenever he writes about his love and devotion for his Mother I can't help but get emotional because I too was incredibly close to my Mother and lost her way too soon. The book is worth reading for anyone who is struggling to reach higher but desperately wants to believe that it is possible for them as well. I hope that anyone reading this book finds comfort and hope, I know I did and I Thank Tyler Perry for trying to teach us all of the important life lessons he has learned along the way. I would love to meet him and be able to personally Thank him for writing this book and spreading Gods Love with the world. Amen 🙏

Now I cannot remember having the blessing to meet this fine gentleman however I read his book. After all his trials and tribulations he was able to over come and become a healing balm for many through his plays and movies. We all have scare tissue and that he has. Tyler Perry will probably never forget the hardness of his childhood and early life. God has rewarded his diligence. And he in turn has blessed so many through his work. Making people think about life to better it, to challenge them to deal with their issues and make their life better by making their dreams come true. I am grateful to God for this wonderful person Tyler Perry and pray for God to protect him and allow me to meet him in person one day. I loved the lessons at the end of each chapter.Great read. Great book to add to your collection.

I always thought Tyler Perry just played Madea and was in the film and TV show industry. I saw his video of him at Lakewood Church with Joel and Victoria Osteen a few weeks ago. His message in that video is so inspiring. I never knew he was a man of such great faith. I had to buy this book. It is so inspirational. He had a childhood filled with abuse to him and his mother from his father. The man and great success he has become, again, is so inspirational to me. I have a dream and like Tyler says, "Don't give up on your dream." I won't Tyler. I know I won't be the success you are but I am a better person because I read this book. I encourage everyone in the universe to read Higher is Waiting. It will be well worth your time. Trust me.

Knowing that Tyler Perry is a masterful creator of plays and films that combine great dialog, a heavenly message, and earthy humor, I expected this book to be entertaining. I was not prepared for it to to be enlightening as well. Mr Perry's Bible-based approach in Higher is Waiting, as in his other work, is designed to uplift and motivate. He draws scenarios from his own colorful experience and pairs each one with a few words of scripture, encouraging the reader to understand that, through hard work and faith in God, his level of success is possible for us as well. Like his Madea character, Tyler Perry's personality appears larger than life and not modulated by modesty, real or false, which can sometimes be offensive. But his accomplishments give credibility and weight to his parables, and I grudgingly had to concede that he makes a good point - - actually, a lot of good points.

I loved how easy this book was to read. The real- life anecdotes were relatable & highlighted the concepts discussed very well. I recommend this book especially to someone who knows they were called to do big things in life & can't even imagine how God is going to make it happen. Be patient. God's "not now" is not a never.
