Best product I have ever used

This item works excellent with the Schwartzopf BlondeMe products. Super moisturising with the added oil and I found that after using this along with the bleach powder, my hair was in better condition than it was before I bleached it, which is highly unusual! 20 vol is all you need for this line, really. It works extremely well and great value too.

Double-process platinum woes - I have dark brown hair, greying in an inexplicable pattern I don't enjoy, which I bleach to pale yellow and then tone to as pale a silver colour as I can manage. This is seriously not easy to do. My hair matches the rest of me for stubbornness - it resists, and pulls red like a runaway fire truck. I recently started using the matching bleach powder to this brand, because it has added bond reinforcement properties and I thought it might help prevent some of the breakage I inevitably experience. But I had been using a different developer with it just because I had plenty left in the bottle. This was a 30 vol developer, a good brand but that strength is not really recommended for on-scalp applications, and I had to keep the mixture on there for the full development time to get anywhere near the pale yellow I need. I noticed when I used that combination, though, that bond reinforcement action was noticeable - the hair did emerge from the process in much better condition than with my previous bleach powder. Well, a few days ago I received some new toner that has a bit of extra lift in it. The instructions for the new toner suggested that I'd need a 20 vol developer to get the elusive nice silvery white I'm looking for. So, having been impressed by the Schwarzkopf Blond Me bleach powder, I went ahead and bought this developer. And I decided to give it a go with the matching bleach powder to prelighten the regrowth, before applying the toner. This has turned out be be a bit of a game changer! It seems that using the matching pair together has enabled me to go from a 30 vol down to a 20 vol developer when bleaching the roots, and still achieve a pale yellow that is actually paler than what I was getting before. Also, my scalp was much happier about the process. (Well, d'uh. Of course!) Manufacturers do always recommend that you use the matching bleach and developer but I had assumed this was just because of course they want to sell you more stuff. Now I am not so sure about that. It seems that chemically they may just work better together. The hair is a nice silvery white now and neither dull nor crispy-fried - the condition of both hair and scalp is much improved, even despite having to use a 20 vol with the toner for another 20 minutes as well. I'm a happy (and very pale) bunny who has been receiving compliments about how fresh and healthy I'm looking. Illusion achieved. Highly recommend this developer with it's partner and will buy again.

I've used many different developers in the past and I always had to add hair condition in the mix to protect my scalp and hair. Without it, I would end up either with really dry hair, or falling hair due to my scalp burning. Schwarzkopf BlondMe I forgot to add the hair condition I always use, my hair was amazing. They didn't get dry, my scalp was fine, no redness. The texture was way more creamy and it felt light on the smell and sensation. You typically instantly feel the smell and sensation of chemicals. I ordered the entire range (20vol, 30vol, 40vol plus the bleaching powder). I'm very happy with the purchase and also I got my stuff the next day with prime... Usually it will take 3 to 4 days even with prime.

My go to developer brand , great results when paired with it's brand bleaching powder, really decent and gentle on my fragile blonde hair
