**Q: How many personal messages can you record?**
A: One at a time.  You can record over the messages.  We had one of these a few years ago and it was wonderful.  The last one I purchased the volume was not good.  If you get one like our first phone it was great and the kids loved it.  If they are all like the last one I purchased I would not buy it again.

**Q: Can this hold up to some drool? What kind of batteries does it take?**
A: This phone was a big disappointment I wouldn’t be buying it

The volume is set to a level that is perfect for tiny ears (and also just right for grown-up ears). For now, there's no way to adjust it yourself on this toy. We hope this helps!   - Team B.

A: I do not think you can lock in a recorded message with this phone.

I bought this for a client that has special needs. He uses a flip phone, as a coping mechanism, to talk to his late mother. The volume is low but honestly, that’s not why I bought it. I just needed a flip phone, as his broke. The bells& whistles were just a bonus and for the price, I think it’s a great deal. My circumstances are much different than most, though.
