Question 1

Is this just for electric induction ovens with the flat wipeable tops, says induction ovens what other sort are there.....

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our cooktop protective mat is only for induction (magnetic) cooktops, which is heat resistant to 450°F/232°C. Direct contact with heating coils and flame would burn the mat. If your hob is applicable for any glass, ceramic or aluminium cookware, or the plate turns red when cooking, then it is not an induction cooktop. We shoot a video for you to see how it works on an induction hob. Hope the answer solves your problem.

Question 2

Is there a reason why my controls won't work through the mat

Accepted Answer

Hob control are touch sensitive to your skin ie finger.

Having the mat over the controls will interfere with the touch capability. You could try other options: 1. A thinner mat. 2. Cutting the mat to suite the hob but leaving the controls out in the open for use. 3. Move the mat to suite the hob and gain ability to operate your controls by lifting up the mat.

For me, it was option 2. Works a treat and still not burns/scratches to anything or anyone.

Question 3

i have a vented hob with the vent in the middle. Can i cut this section out too?

Accepted Answer

I don't see why not. I cut a section of mine and there were some small white threads left on the cut edge, which I had to trim after . Hope this helps.

Question 4

Why are the stickers with my black mat also black? I can't see them.

Accepted Answer

Thank you for your feedback regarding the black silicone adhesive patches used to mark the position on the surface of the electromagnetic stove protector. We understand your concern about the lack of contrast between the black patch and the black mat, making it less visible.
The reason we chose black for the adhesive patches is to ensure they do not interfere with the overall color effect of the mat.
Using a contrasting color might create a stark contrast that could be visually distracting and disrupt the harmonious appearance of the mat. By using black patches, we aim to maintain the seamless integration of the mat with the rest of the kitchen decor.
Moreover, the black color of the adhesive patches provides versatility in their application. Since we include several patches in the package, the black color allows for convenient use in various scenarios. It also complements other silicone mat products, especially when used together.
We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration for future product improvements. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know. We value your satisfaction and strive to provide you with the best possible experience.
