Leather Sheath for Japanese Hori Hori Knife

This is a direct replacement for the flimsy sheath that came with my houri houri knife. It fits perfectly, the leather is thick and heavy duty and has a simple belt loop for attachment to a 2” work belt. The only bad thing I can say is that it could use some leather oil to make it waterproof and last longer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well made sheath which is much better than ones you get with most Hori Hori knives. The sheath is curved which fits the Hori Hori knife just right. Easy to get the knife in and out of the sheath. I wear it, and use it, all the time I am outdoors working in the yard.

(PHOTOS) This is NOT a Hori Hori Knife Sheath... buyer beware. I had this shipped up to Canada, so can't return also. The sheath is about 2" (two inches) too short, and the Hori Hori blade sits above the 'sheath' Does NOT fit a Hori Hori Knife at all... is not made for this, the seller just re-branded it Hori Hori Sheith. As you can see the in the photos below, the knife does NOT fit the sheath at all properly... the hori hori is the "nisaku hori hori". As you can clearly see, the MB HANNA SHEATH is about one inch too short, and the belt loop section is very small... so when its on your hip, the blade is exposed to your hands/wrists... not safe... the knife also rattles in the case... Case manufacturer, please make the case 1 inch longer, and the belt loop area taller by an inch.

Quite possibly the best sheath for the Tomita-Nisaku hori-hori knife. Heavy duty leather, hand-crafted for a custom fit, right down to the curved leather back that conforms to the Horii-Hori's concave blade. The fit is nearly perfect (see photo: item on left. Shown alongside Felco Holster ASIN: B0002VP0F2). My only complaint is that the sheath is a bit wide, and without the extra snap-buttoned handle strap as on the accompanying original vinyl sheath, the knife's fit is a bit loose-- not quite as secure. The leather arrives in a "raw" state. I immediately applied a few coats of leather conditioning lotion to seal the surface, making it semi-impervious to dirt and moisture. While not the perfect sheath I had hoped for, it's certainly a vast improvement over the vinyl one originally sold with the knife. Thank you, -CC. Amazon Prime Member-Reviewer

Well constructed sheath and fits the Hori Hori knife perfectly. The belt slots are good, but I use the sheath to protect both the knife and other tools that I carry in my gardening bag. Would definitely recommend this item for any gardener who has this type of knife.

Heavy leather and stitching, comparable to the Felco 910 pruning holster but without the clip. Strong enough to stand up to the sharp tip of the nisaku/tomita hori hori knife and a perfect fit. Excellent quality.

Hori hori knives are great to use in the garden, especially for weeding and having this sheath helps to keep your hori knife available within hand reach at all times.

Very heavy duty leather, but my knife is loose in it and it needs something like a Velcro strap to keep the knife secure.
