Does the handheld unit have a button to turn it on /off or do you have to do this at the mains?

Hi Kim , yes there is an on\off button on the unit. It is the same button on the hand held unit as the floor mop . It just pulls out of the floor mop.

The cordless DOESN’T state for hard floors but the photo is a woman in blue top cleaning tiles? Does it clean vinyl floors or not?

I don’t have the cordless but I assume it does the same as the plug in one. I use mine on kitchen floor tiles and hardwood hall floor. Hope this helps
