Easy to use and clean

These gimmicky items almost never pan out but this one is no gimmick and no joke. Just received it yesterday and tried it out this morning. My husband has an egg and a sausage patty every day and it makes such a greasy mess on my stove. I’m sick of it. Plus, finding a decent one egg pan is impossible. So read a ton of reviews and here’s what I did. First off a good wash in hot soapy water. I sprayed one quick press of olive oil spray in each compartment and used a tiny silicone brush to spread it around. Put my thawed sausage patty in one and an egg in the other. Didn’t preheat. I have an ancient sharp carousel microwave and I don’t know the wattage but always thought it’s at least 1000, maybe more. Anyway, timed it for 2:00 and then took it out with gloves and set it on a silicone trivet. Carefully popped the top off and I saw pretty much perfection. Patty was cooked through and tender and the yolk was runny with a slight sheen of runny white. I popped it in for another 30 seconds and the egg was jammy. This one was a trial run for me so I didn’t care so much about the egg. I’ll eat any egg. I’ll do 2:15 for him. Best of all, ate breakfast and then wiped the pan and lid with a paper towel and done. No mess. No grease. With minimal care the pan should last. Always use silicone utensils. Just can’t begin to say how much I love this pan. It’s really changed my life. After using it for a couple of months, Im resigned to never having that perfect looking egg but because of the no mess, no grease on the stove, I wouldn’t change a thing. I have found that 2:22 works best for me and I actually poke a hole in the yolk first. I had a couple of exploding yolks during my experiments. I use a Kleenex to wipe it out afterwards. A paper towel was too big and too wasteful. Then I take my damp kitchen rag to totally go over it. The sausage patty always comes out perfectly cooked and a lot of the grease leeches out. I can make make a healthy breakfast, along with a slice of whole wheat toast, for my husband in just a few minutes. I don’t bother with the spray oil anymore.

Excellent product well made, personally I always preheat for 2 minutes prior to spraying with oil, and using.

Even the wife likes this one. We are now retired and look for easy prep ideas to make life a little less of a hassle. Heating it up in 2 minutes we then micro-fry eggs without breaking the yoke. We have found the sweet spot for timing over easy, over medium, and hard yoke eggs. It all depends on your microwave, but we have yet to cook a rubbery egg. The only complaint I have is the silicone covering gets EXTREAMLY hot and is deceiving if you pick it up without a hot pad, you can be halfway to the table before your hand is telling you to drop it. Even with the learning curve, it is a great product, and we use it almost every day. Cleanup is a breeze with a quick rinse and wipe. I have not had food get under the silicone edges or stick to anything. I would buy again.
