Rothenberger Kibosh Emergency Pipe Repair Kit for 15mm Plastic and Copper Pipes

Really good in an emergency

I have an outside pipe that burst in the cold. I tried a smaller kit and tape, neither of which worked. The Rothenberger Kibosh kit was easy to fix and worked immediately. I don't need a plumber now. Well worth it!

Having struggled to stop a leak in copper pipe recently using tape & jubilee clips I have invested in one of these in case it happens again. It is a quality device, very simple to use and I’ve no doubt it will do the job if ever required.

Item arrived three days late. Luckily the pinhole fracture in my basin pipe had already been mended by a local plumber the day it occurred so I haven't had to actually use this yet. Just keep it as a backup. I did try it on a piece of old copper pipe and it looks quite effective. It does take quite a bit of pressure to clamp shut and reopen, so much so that I'd be worried about damaging a fragile pipe if I wasn't careful. Item a little larger than expected. At its narrowest point, when the two halves of the housing are opened, it measures 16mm - so if your pipe is closer to a wall or another pipe than this it won't fit. Doe's look quite sturdy though.

Used on an outside tap pipe which has a 27mm split in it. Simple to use and has no problem containing the cold water pressure of the house.

Tried numerous products to repair a rad pipe. Nothing worked. This did. Completely sealed the pipe, regardless of water pressure, and not a drip.

My house is build in 1980 with copper pipe, and have noticed few pinhole issues in the last few years. I keep one of this emergency repair clamp at home so I don’t have to worry about not able to get a plumber out to fix the issue in time.

I like the design and it should work well for emergencies.

Works great....granted I only have a pinhole in my 1/2" copper pipe. However my main shutoff valve is bad. So any repair that invloves cutting, and inserting a new section of pipe is out of the question right now. This worked perfectly,..for me i used some channel locks to close it tight enough to latch. As it's in a tight location, next to other pipes. Its been bone dry for a week now.

Night shift plumber. This is a great product to keep water heater and furnace running in cold weather when there is a pipe break and canot get parts for repair until stores open next day.

It took a bit of effort to clamp, but when everything else failed, this worked. I would heavily recommend it.
