Does this close from the middle and am I able to secure it so that my can can’t get through?

Magnets run down both curtains in middle. Don't think it could be secured to stop cat getting through. I got it specifically so my dog could go in and out by just walking through it and it would close behind him and keep flying insects out.

Would the adhesive stick to glass?
