Good quality. I placed it on my Pit Barrel Cooker because I didn’t like the draft setup that can with the drum smoker. This vent fits over the existing hole and works much better more efficiently.

Screen is much better than original. Ths install was easy. You don't need to purchase the entire assembly just the screen would work.

Fit perfect on my big green egg. I’m so pleased with this replacement place part.

Great product. Better than the original. Only issue is that you need to figure out what to use as a sealant to reduce the draft around the edge as it’s not that snug. The original had silicone. You need to buy some high temperature silicone to be safe. They should mention that in the instructions when you buy the product so you are prepared when you get it.

Draft door was a perfect fit to replace my old screen draft door for my BGE. We’ll made and seems solid. Would have loved to have the silicone seal be part of the package.

Quality is great. However, I purchased for an older egg that I’m fixing up (somewhere around 2008-2012; you can also tell if you have an older egg if the top of the ceramic fire ring has 5 smaller dimples instead of the 3 larger notches on current eggs), and the bolt holes on the left side are too far apart by about a quarter inch. I decided to cut the hole bigger with some metal shears (it’s thick metal, so took a little effort) instead of returning. Fortunately, the included washers are plenty big to cover up the expanded hole. You can’t even tell once it’s installed. Update: KAMaster reached out to me about the hole spacing and has been incredibly helpful. I’ve done two cooks on the egg after replacing the draft door (I sealed the door with high temp silicon as well) and it’s working perfectly.

Easy to install. Takes 2 minutes.

This uses a sheet of metal with holes rather than a metal mesh screen. The clearances are looser than the original BGE so with the inevitable ash and small charcoal pieces that get into it, this is easier to open and close and is worry-free about tearing a screen. I had to use a fair amount of high temp silicone to get it sealed. This is a definite improvement over what mine came with 14 years ago.
