De'Longhi Multigrill cgh1020d Electric Contact Grill – Barbecue (Table, Black, Metallic, Rectangular, Cookbook, Gloves)

Our previous grill fell apart after many years of use as a sandwich maker and I decided to look for something better which led me to the grill and griddle by George Foreman which led me to the Cuisinart Griddler and stumbling into this model by De'Longhi. The Cuisinart model had lots of mostly excellent reviews but I'd brought De'Longhi Oil Filled Radiator about twenty years ago and it's been outstanding - so I decided to give this model a chance because of the brand name. We've only had it about a week, but first impression are that it's brilliant and simple. If you can use a frying pan, you can use this. We've had toasted sandwiches, bacon and eggs, veggie burgers, corn on the cob, pancakes & Salmon fillets - all of which are easy to cook and taste great. Then you just pop out the plates and wash lightly with a sponge and it's clean - nothing sticks. Pros: Easy to use and comes with booklet and an app that shows cooking temperatures and times but really if you can use the knob on the hob or oven - you won't need these. Elements are part of plates - I don't really know whether this works better than having the elements under the plates - but I used a laser thermometer and the plates heat accurately and food cooks well. Opens flat - I've got a 60cm hob and this opens to cover the width - allowing me to cook on both parts at the same time using different temperatures - or cooking on one side and keep warm on the other half. Swappable plates - I purchased the single one griddle one grill plate but you can decide which goes on the top and bottom - so you can use either plate in half open position. I did contemplation buying the model with the two sets of plates - but having used the device don't really think that would be needed. Having seen the Cuisinart model on the high street the other day, the plates on this model seem significantly bigger - which is great if your cooking a whole meal. Cons: The control knobs feel less substantial that the rest of build. The upper section that can lock above the lower section in various positions needs rethinking. You have to close the device and lift the upper section to lock into position. This means that if you want to lift the top to turn or check on food, you have to reapply the lock, close and lift into position. It would be more useful if you set the height for the upper plate and closed into this position regardless of how many times you open and close. Overall, really glad we brought this. I would recommend grabbing one of the OXO Good Grips Silicone Flexible Pancake Turners, as I found this easer for eggs, toasted sandwiches and pancakes than my standard fish slice spatula.

Having researched for weeks I am really satisfied to have bought this machine and it is cheaper compared to other machines, so don't waste money ! It works as good as its more expensive counterparts. You can preheat the griddles and it beeps when it’s ready for you to use it and both top and bottom grills cook evenly. You can set the timer so you don’t burn your food but the most important part is the fact that you can remove the griddles to clean them properly. Since I bought it, I have been using daily and it’s so far so good. Highly recommended.

The Delonghi Multigrill 1020D is a very good product. Beautifully designed by Delonghi. Love the brushed metal and stainless steel look. Looks good in the kitchen. The Blue digital display helps you with cooking. The plates are easily detachable and easy to clean. Food cooked is healthy eating and evenly cooked. I found this product difficult to purchase in the UK, even on Delonghi UK website does not adevertise it. Bought it from Amazon which was delivered from Germany with a U.K. Adapter fitted without purchasing this as an extra.

Very happy with this grill. Easy to clean and maintain. You might find the cooling temperatures recommended in the app are a tad too high. Only drawback is that setting the height of the top plate is a little cumbersome.

It was my dream Grill, I have Tefal as well back home, but this is definitely better, quality and looks more professional!

Arrived on time nicely packed. evening cooking made so much easier! Temperature is just right and in fact food get ready faster that written in manuals

Love this grill, fast, dual control and three sets of plates including waffle plates. An impulse buy but so pleased we did.

Trochę się wahałem przed zakupem ale myślę że był to dobry zakup. Szybko się nagrzewa. Zrobiłem już: jajecznicę, boczek, grzanki, rybę, kiełbaski, burgery, schab, nóżki z kurczaka, gofry. Wszystko wychodzi smacznie przy niewielkiej ilości tłuszczu.

Les moins : attention, un peu encombrant si petite cuisine. Peut être un peu lourd aussi. Les plus : C'est dans mon titre : Super efficace, cuisine super simple et rapide, plats super bons ! Ex : un poivron coupé en six, un belle courgette coupée en rondelles de 1,5 cm ou 2 et deux belle tranches de gigot sont dans l'assiette en près de 20 mn en deux temps de cuisson (légumes puis viande) tout compris (mise en température, préparation dont assaisonnement d'un filet d'huile, sel, poivre , herbes de Provence). Le plus long, c'est de mettre la table et de prolonger inutilement l'apéro. - La qualité de l'ensemble justifie le poids (qui reste très raisonnable). les dimensions des plaques et l'ergonomie globale justifie largement les dimensions de l'appareil. - Je recommande la version quatre plaques (deux gril et deux planchas). Le nombre de recettes proposées sur l'appli Android est plus étendu. En outre l'appareil avec quatre plaques trouve toute sont utilité pour tous les types de plats et grillades. Si achat version à deux plaques, on trouve un jeu de plaques "grill + plancha" (originales De Longhi) à moins de 50 € sur le Net. - le démontage des plaques (dont les résistance leurs sont intégrées dans la masse) se fait sur la simple pression d'un bouton => la sortie des plaques et leurs remises en place est ultra simple et rapide. Le bac à graisse est un simple petit tiroir en plastique de qualité et très efficace. Le nettoyage de l'ensemble est à la main (très rapide) ou en lave vaisselle. Très bon produit utile qui, assurément, ne restera pas au fond d'un placard. (Je n'ai pas encore essayé les paninis ni les gambas à la plancha ni les moules, ni les oeufs au plat ni les saucisses et le bacon du breakfast sur la terrasse en été avec tout bien chaud, cuit et grillé à point ni ... j'arrête, j'en ai l'eau à la bouche...!). Bien à vous amateur de bonnes choses.

Fantastic product with a robust structure. A multi-tool for the kitchen. I even use it as a small oven with amazing results. Highly recommended.

He tenido varias planchas de este tipo. Es muy buena plancha, fácil de usar y de limpiar. Se abre completamente y se puede cocinar en las dos superficies, una es lisa. Es una plancha grill resistente se nota la calidad de los materiales. La recomiendo totalmente

Usato per bistecca, sandwich, uova, bacon, tostare pane per spalmarci marmellata. Prima volta che acquisto un prodotto simile ne avevo visti altri a casa di amici, ma questo è molto più funzionale. Kit piastre ottimo, facili da smontare e pulire. Entra in temperatura im pochi minuti. Ottimo superconsigliato.
