These came up in a search for hangers suitable for suits and winter jackets. They are a little on the expensive side for a hanger but they are nice. They come packaged 6 in a box that's perfect for holding 6. The box it not oversized. Each hanger is wrapped in foam to protect the wood finish and don't seem to shift in the box when shaken. They are a deep cherry stained wood. The bar for pants is attached by two screws that seem solid. The bar doesn't spin/rotate. Otherwise there are no obviously assembled parts. The bar is also protected by a ribbed plastic coating that prevents pants from slipping even when evenly placed on the bar. Some hangars pants much be placed offset on the bar to balance the weight to prevent slipping. Not these. It states somewhere that since they are wood they aren't suitable for hanging wet clothes. If this is an issue plastic hangers of similar construction (different brand) can be found for hanging damp/wet clothing to dry. The hook: The hook is of importance in some regard mainly for flexibility and functionality. These hooks rotate but not easily. That's not a criticism just a note. That is said to note they don't spin like a top. It doesn't take much effect to rotate them but they seem to hold in place once positioned. There is only a slight play to them. It's just not certain in such a short time of use if excessive rotation will loosen them up over time. The hooks are a very shiny chrome-like appearance and smooth. The one negative I find with the hook is that the hook itself isn't rounded. It is flat so it tends not to slide as easy on the rack. This is especially noticeable where these hangers are used on the rack where it joins. When sliding from the smaller or inserted side to the larger side it catches. It would be better to have rounded hooks. Overall they are nice hangers. In my case, I wouldn't replace every hanger in the closet with them 1) they are little pricey and 2) they take up a considerable amount of room on the rack due to the width so they are used for as originally stated, winter coats and suits to preserve the form.

High quality, work great for heavy coats, attractive.

I could rave all day about these hangers and would never get tired! I've purchased 4 boxes so far and will probably purchase more. I initially got these because I have a collection of really nice jackets and coats that needed better hangers than the thicker plastic ones I was hanging them on, and I've liked them SO MUCH I bought more for my nicer dresses, shirts and blazers. I am plus size, so these hangers fit my clothing really well, much better than the plastic hangers. Yes they take up a LOT more space than your standard plastic hanger, but if you have nice jackets or clothes, these are so worth the space you give up, in my opinion. I love the wide, rounded "shoulders" of these hangers and the grippy "pants" bar across the bottom. I like the wider, flat hooks. I love that I can assemble whole outfits and have them at the ready on these stout hangers and I love that they fill out the shoulders of my jackets and coats and do not leave shoulder "poufs" where the other hangers stressed heavier fabrics. Out of the 4 boxes I've ordered, they all have arrived VERY well packaged and perfectly intact. I feel for what you get, the price for these is very reasonable and would/will buy again soon.

I have furs. They're antiques and if you know fur you know they age poorly in the shoulders. All garments age poorly in the shoulders, first. But furs of any type are undone by the hangers they are placed upon from the moment they're hung. These beautiful, solid, wooden hangers are the best I have encountered. I could go on... Just know the hangers are the highest quality in my closet. They're among the best hangers I have seen on the Earth. They're worth way more than they're being sold for here. Buy them. You will be seriously impressed. They're so handsome and smooth, golden and have thick silver hooks. You'll be giving your furs - garments a real shot at living long past those that were hung on inferior hangers. LOVE THEM!
