These are great for the money. I used them for deadlifting for about a year before I upgraded to urethane bumpers, and they still look like new. None of the metal center inserts have come loose, although I'm not doing any rough overhead drops. The pros: because they are made of crumb rubber they are very soft. You can drop them on a lot of surfaces and move them around without damaging and scratching things. They also are relatively quit when you put them down or drop them. The cons: like all crumb rubber, the plates are way wider than cast iron plates or even urethane bumpers. This means that if you have bars with short sleeves you wont be able to fit a lot of weight on the bar. Compared to iron, it is also quite a bit more difficult to move the 45 lb plates around and get them on and off the bar, as they are about 4 inches wide and have no handle. This is always an issue with crumb rubber though and is not specific to this product. I eventually upgraded to urethane bumpers for the convenience and because I prefer to use bars with short sleeves. But these were a great starter set and I could have been happy with them for a long time. Overall, they are a great value if you are looking to get a lot of weight per dollar.

Great bumper plates. Look exactly like the image. The slot for the barbell is solid, really well made and great vibrant colors. Will be purchasing again when I 'outgrow' this one set.

Nice bumper plates, they are good quality

Plates hold up to outside use (continual use and exposure to elements). Plates themselves are very easy to grip and manipulate - as far as a handle-less plate can be. Will leave a faint black residue on your skin, but no more than you’d expect from an affordable rubber plate. There is a minimal rubber smell the first few times used, which fades quite quickly. Probably hangs around a bit longer in a small room. Plates are all equal height as you’d expect from an Olympic weight set. They all weigh within the reasonable range of their displayed weight.

These have been great to use on my smith machine. They fit well on the set up provided. I have dropped them a few times and they are holding up well, they do bounce when dropped! Easy to clean.
