I expect a fairly low use, printing boy's school-work so am unsure if i should buy this hp envy 7830. please suggest best all-in-1 printer for home.

Hi,
I am a school boy in year 8 and this printer is perfect for me. I print a few photos in high quality colour and on A4 Photo paper and the ink can last me over 2 months. For school work... I would say for average use like school work it would easily last 3-5 months. The ink itself is quite expensive, at £30 for both but there is another methord for cheaper, It is called HP Instant Ink. To cut a long story short, You pay them a monthly fee starting at Lowest of Free and highest of £8 and you are allowed to print __ number of pages a month and if you go over they charge you £1. Then when you run out they deliver more with free shipping. This very printer comes with a 4 month free trial. These are the plans:

Free              15                               £1 for 10 Pages
£2                 50                               £1 for 15 Pages
£3.50           100                             £1 for 20 Pages
£8                 300                            £1 for 25 Pages

Also if you print less pages you get rollover pages.e.g. If you are on the £2 plan and you print 40/50 pages you can print up to 60 pages next month.
You can go up to the amount you are paying for in rollovers. e.g. for the £2 plan you can get up to 50 extra pages.

Do I need to do anything to activate the 4 month free instant ink? Will it prompt me to sign up after the 4 months is complete?

Us code 2jdq6b in the pin / voucher box and this will then add an additional 3 months free ink to your already free 4 months.
Your new free ink will then state 7 months free total.
