I am surprised by the negative reviews discussing this product's taste. Were they expecting honey? Propolis has a strong taste. If you are sensitive to taste, then spend more for propolis in capsules, or mix it with honey. If you want pure, effective propolis, then buy this brand.

It seems to be an excellent product. Just combined with honey and let it rest from one to three months, and you will see it fermenting. I combined it with Honey and Bee pollen. The combined flavor is amazing, but it takes a while for the fermentation to occur.

very nice product for health

I have never smelled or tasted a food item with more of a chemical scent/flavor. I don’t even know how to explain it. It smells/tastes like beer mixed with a household cleaner. All the things I’ve since read and heard through beekeepers, state that though the flavor profiles change due to the various components for bees to make propolis, propolis—in general—always has a slight sweetness to it. That being said, the three stars are because, though absolutely DISGUSTING to taste, it do help me with a severe toothache. So if you can handle the putrid taste, I recommend it to help tooth pain/infection.

We give this to our cats to help with snuffles (allergies we think). Not sure if it’s helping but it definitely smells bad! Gonna keep trying it though

Tastes horrible no matter what I mixed it with. I don’t doubt that it’s very healthy. However, the aroma and taste were more than I could bare.

Can't return it, but believe me, don't even buy this brand. Taste is horrible, not like another brand I've tried. Terrible packaging!

I don't know if this stuff goes bad but if smells like it came from the tombs of Egypt.
