I bought this for my 6.5-month-old and it has quickly become one of our most used toys. He’s just starting to sit independently and work on hand-eye coordination, and this has been perfect for that stage. The wood is sturdy and smooth with no rough edges. The balls are lightweight and easy for little hands to grasp. At first, he loved trying to put them in his mouth (don’t worry, they are far to big to fit so no chocking hazards) and he needed help dropping the ball into the hole, but within a few days he started figuring it out on his own. It’s been fun watching him connect the action of dropping the ball with it rolling out the front — great early cause-and-effect learning. I also like that it’s simple and not overstimulating (no lights or sounds), which makes it easy for him to stay focused. It encourages concentration and fine motor skills without being overwhelming. The perfect Montessori toy. The only thing to note is that younger babies may need some guidance at first, but that’s expected for this age. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for babies around 6–12 months who are working on coordination and early problem solving skills.

I bought this for my childcare program. It is well made the balls are heavy. It’s great for teaching children and eye coordination and very durable for a childcare setting.

My son LOVES this toy! When I first got it he didn’t know how to use it, he just chewed on the balls. Now he plays with it a lot and really enjoys it. I’d say he started to use it as intended at 10 months. But even now that he knows how to use it, these wooden balls are just his favorite. I don’t know why, but he loves to chew them and bang them together. The wood is sanded down so I have no worries about him cutting himself. Really nice quality. Love it! It’s great to learn cause and effect too.

Love, love, love it for its well constructed and simple design. It's been a favorite toy from 6 to 12 months, and I expect it to continue to be so for awhile longer. Encourages eye-hand coordination, early language concepts and interactive play routines between baby and caregivers. No bells, whistles or electronics to distract from baby's explorations and accomplishments!!

I possibly got this too soon for my son, he was about 5 months. He would hold the ball and throw it and grab the wooden part and flip it over or try to chew it. But now at 8 months he is able to put the ball where it goes and plays with it for about 2 minutes. My 4 year old nephew likes it a lot but it could just be that he likes all my babies toys lol overall it's a great toy which I'm sure my son will like more overtime.
