Perfect for My Shop Use!
In my woodworking garage/shop got tired of wearing “muffs” with safety glasses and dust mask. Plus I have a wood turning helmet/respirator and a welding helmet that don’t allow the over ear protectors. When these were just released I pre-ordered them at ToolNut. I knew they are volume limited at 85dB but even in a quiet room there was no sound until the sound volume was at 1/2 and wasn’t very loud at all at full volume. Very disappointed so I had to pay shipping to return them to ToolNut. I tried the Isotunes Pro but didn’t like the cord. Also tried Powerbeats Pro and they sounded good but not enough sound isolation and they have a hook over the ear that I didn’t like. Later I noticed that Amazon was offering the IsoTunes FREE so I read the reviews at both Amazon and IsoTunes. I saw a lot of good reviews but also a couple that had my same complaint about very low volume I experienced. With Amazon Prime I had free returns so took a chance ordering another pair. Glad I did - the new pair was much louder. Even when using my Festool track saw or Domino jointer with a dust collector on the sound isolation is good enough that I don’t need to hit full volume to comfortably hear the music. Mentioning music - the sound on these is pretty good. Good base and balance. Very comparable to the PBP’s except the mid-range is little better on the PBP. This is my first set of Bluetooth headphones so didn’t know what to expect. Connection is quick and I can walk from the garage where my iPhone or iPad is into the kitchen 30-40 feet away and still hear the music. I’m getting good at inserting the ear tips and they are very comfortable. Battery life has been excellent so far. To be perfect for some reason I would like one or two more volume steps even though maximum is too loud to listen to for more than a couple minutes. Plus little better sound isolation would be nice. Only other thing I notice is when you stop the music you can hear some background “white” noise and it goes away after the headphones power down. I did some searching and found most if not all Bluetooth headphones do this. Update - ISOTunes had me send these back for testing of sound level. When I got them back they have quite a bit more volume. These are perfect for my application now. Great customer service!

Manage your expectations
When I first got these they were a solid 1, maybe 2/5. The sound quality was not great and there was a low static background noise when they connected to a device. Also, they didn't fit well. So why 5/5 now? Because they work and do everything that they need to do. After figuring out how to actually put them in there is a noticeable sound reduction. Not a lot but it's there. They are okay for music but work best for listening to the radio/podcasts. That low static sound actually helps drown out the sounds that do get through like a white noise machine. They fit well under a pair of ear muffs and are not going to provide a pure silent listening experience, but that's the point. They have a Noise REDUCTION Rating, not a noise stopping ability. I mostly use these for landscaping, so mowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, ect. With a good pair of ear muffs it comfortable and I'm not blowing out my hearing. The connection does drop then immediately reconnect sometimes, but that seems to be normal for Bluetooth devices when they get knocked around. On a side note these are wonderful in an office full of people who are constantly talking. Really drowns out the sound and helps me focus without cranking up the volume.

Very high quality, but sadly the 85db limit is just not loud enough
Ok, I really wanted to be able to use these earbuds, but unfortunately they limit the sound of your audio just a little too much. The good: these are very well made, plenty of ear tip sizes to choose from. The noise canceling mics for phone calls work really well. And they do seem block out outside noise very well, works like when you're wearing just regular ear plugs. The bad: I bought these specifically for mowing the yard and other chores around the house using power equipment. When I tried them while using an echo hand held leaf blower, not the backpack kind, I couldn't get the volume of my podcast up loud enough to easily hear it. If the blower was just idling I could hear easily, but at full power, I could hear the podcast and even make out what was being said, but I was having to really strain and intently listen to make it out. That's just not going to work for me and it makes me sad because I loved everything else about these headphones. It was so close, if I could get just a few more dbs they'd be perfect. I gave them 4 stars because they did everything so well, and I think they may work some people who are working in a slightly less noisy environment. I wish they'd make a set without the volume limit for people who aren't worried about having to be osha compliant, if they did, I'd certainly buy them. Edit: I did find a pair that work perfectly for my needs and at half the price. Anyone like me looking for something to use while mowing I highly recommend them. I wrote a review about my experiences with these on that product's page. 2019 Upgraded, Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo True Wireless Earbuds, Pumping Bass, IPX7 Waterproof, Secure Fit, Bluetooth 5 Headphones, Stereo Calls, Noise Isolation, One Step Pairing, Sports, Work Out https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MCGZK3B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R47jEbDXBCGAH

ISOtunes Free 2.0 True Wireless Earbuds - Hearing Protection
I am required to wear hearing protection at my workplace. I have tried several types / brands of bluetooth enabled hearing protection. I like each type I have tried, but by far these are my favorite as there are no wires to catch on anything while I am working. Another set I have has the wire that goes around your neck, but I had a tendency to catch the wires at times due to working around machinery or with my hands etc when performing work duties. I have a set of ISOtunes earmuff style hearing protection with bluetooth. They have great sound, durability and range from your phone / bluetooth device, but due to the size I tend to bump into things when working on machinery. They are also much hotter in the summer weather (NO AC at work) and also tend to get somewhat uncomfortable over time as they are held on your head with a slight squeeze like pressure. This tends to push some on the ear lobes too. The ISOtunes Free 2.0 is so much better in terms of comfort. They are like using a typical push in type hearing protection plug and fit snug into the ear canal. There a re a variety of plug tips that come with the earbuds so just about anyone should be able to get the right fit. The range from your phone / bluetooth device with these is surprisingly good considering they are just a tiny earbud. I can walk about as far away with these from my phone as I can with the earmuff ISOtunes set I have (About 50 or so feet). I have read other reviews about some folks complaining the sound is not loud enough, but I have had no issues for the most part. I work in a noisy environment and can hear mine good enough to listen to podcasts. If you work in an area where the noise level is so loud you could not hear anything form these, it might be a wise idea to wear protective earmuff over top of these anyway to protect your hearing. If you are used to wearing earplug type hearing protection, you will enjoy the comfort of these as well as the sound quality. Sound is pretty good for such a tiny earbud. Battery life is better than expected too. I listen to podcasts, not music, so there may not be as much drain on the batteries when using them. They will get me through an 8 hour shift without having to place them into the charging case. The battery in the charging case has always lasted my a 5 day work week on a charge. This being my second ISOtunes bluetooth device, I will say I am impressed with their quality so far. I have had this set now for about 6 months and have not had any issues so far. I would definitely recommend these for anyone needing hearing protection and would like to be able to listen to music or podcasts from their phone / device.

Incredibly tone deaf design for a product made to be a safety device
Where I work, I'm allowed to wear one earbud at a time. Doesn't matter which ear, and have to use a regular ear plug in the other. I've worked at a couple places now that have this same policy. The right earbud is the only one with play/pause on the earbud button. So, if I want to use the left earbud I have to pull the phone out to play/pause and change volume. Anyone that's ever worked at a company that frowns on employees pulling their phone out will understand why that's a problem. Not to mention the safety implications if you need to pause or mute immediately. Then there is the pairing issue. The earbuds have to be individually paired and re-paired every time they're turned off/on. Every.Single.Time. They turn off when you place them in the charger, and turn on when taken out of the charger. So have your bluetooth settings open on the phone when you take them out of the charger, because they turn on in pairing mode. And, if you want to use both buds you'll have to pair them both. Every.Single.Time. Sound quality is ok, nothing to get excited about. Comparable to a set of buds that cost 1/3 as much. I have a different set of hearing protection buds that cost about half what these do and they work better than these. My current employer will only allow ones made by isotunes, otherwise I'd wear the others I have. After 2 days (the second one being left bud only) I decided to return these. They're simply not worth the hassle for me.

Comfortable ear protection
Update 1/12/25: after using these for a bit over a year, I still consider them a decent option. They seem to provide decent hearing protection from things like small engines, workshop tools, etc. My biggest complaint is the earbud tips - mine have ended up cracking the plastic insert and separating from the earbud itself on a few occasions. This has resulted in the tip remaining stuck in the ear when removing. So far, I've been fortunate and able to fish them out with tweezers, but beware as others have mentioned, it could result in a trip to the ER if you're not so lucky. Original review: Bought these for use in my shop. Was tired of constantly putting foam plugs in and out throughout the day, so figured I would try these. The IsoTunes earbuds came with a variety of tips to get the fitment just right and they do a nice job of fitting snugly, yet remaining comfortable for longer periods of time. Bluetooth is easy to pair and sound quality is quite good. Overall, they've been a nice upgrade for working with power tools and lawn equipment. Put them in and forget about 'em.

Not worth for personal use
You need to understand what you're paying for. This headphones are a $20 earbud + foam earplugs. But they're selling for $120! Why? just because it got OSHA compliant. If this is for personal use, not required for work, and not reimbursable, I absolutely do not recommend them. Many headphones offer passive noise isolation (with foam) + active noise cancellation. They also have an NNR rating of 20+ and good sound quality. Just because they might be Japanese or Korean products, lacking the OSHA compliance certification. So, u are paying for OSHA compliance, which costs you an extra $100.
