COBI F4U - 4 Corsair

The F4 Corsair is the first Cobi set I've bought and constructed. After being reluctant to buy a non-lego brick construction set, I am so glad I finally gave in. The plane looks absolutely superb. Bricks fit together nicely, although some look very similar to eachother. Instructions are clear and warn you to be careful with similar looking bricks. High quality product with a high level of detail. I was so impressed that I have also bought the M1A2 Abrams. Once that is done, I'll be getting the A10 Warthog. If you love Lego but want military sets, go Cobi.

プラモデルを接着して組み立て、色を塗る作業が面倒って方にはオススメです。 完成するとプラモデルとまではいきませんがぱっと見ブロック？と思うほど良い出来です。 初めは子供のプレゼント用に購入しましたが、中々出来が良いのでコレクションとしてCOBIのブロックを始めました。 組み立ては、説明書が順番図だけしか無いのでゆっくり焦らず組み立てれば誰でも出来ると思います。 日本以外のレビューを見るとパーツが足りないと言う意見がちらほら見受けられます。今現在4個保有していますが、B17爆撃機のパーツが1つ、形は似ているが厚み違う物が入ってました。ぱっと見分からないのでカスタマーサービスに連絡してませんが、心配な方は正規のミリタリーオンラインショップでの購入をオススメします。正規以外の購入だとパーツ保証出来ないそうです。

I really like LEGO. I guess you could say that I like the idea of LEGO, because they are so ridiculously expensive to the point that I almost find it disappointing. I told myself I would only be tempted to buy a set if they had a plane worth putting together. Lo and behold, I found this model by a competitor, COBI. If this is an example of the quality and attention to detail you get from COBI, I can’t recommend them enough. Full disclosure, I’m 53 years old and I haven’t bought anything like this in over 40 years. COBI says their bricks are compatible with LEGO, but I honestly could care less. COBI makes reasonably priced items of vehicles that I find interesting to build. The only negative as far as my wife is concerned is that these brick sets do take up a lot of room, so you have to plan ahead as to whether or not you have a place for them to display. Anyway, back to this particular model it resembles an F4U Corsair. The gull wings fold up. It looks awesome. It was fun to assemble. I recommend this item if you’re into models, WWII planes and definitely Corsairs. I’ve already ordered my next COBI brick set, the 747. My wife can’t wait. ;)
