Can you use real water instead of the pretend one?

No, the water is plastic and clips in place. I bought this for my four year old, who is quite mature but she wasn't impressed. I wasn't impressed with the value for money. I wouldn't buy it again. I love their animals though.

hi the water is a riverbed print with grey rounded stones some green foliage and blue water but the rippled clear plastic that sits on top reflects light and can blur the lines of the print below which in my opinion works really well both my sons 2 & 4 love the toy
