This really was a bad decision to purchase using the renewed route. Initially I thought this was a reasonably sensible choice given the blurb about the program and that Apple devices are generally very reliable if cared for. The phone arrived with 84% battery capacity, which was disappointing but complied with the terms of the "Renewed" small print. After 6 months use I had to have the battery replaced by Apple at a cost of £100. After 18 months, the phone developed the White Screen of Death issue rendering the phone useless. The cost to replace the screen is close to £400, so after a total outlay of £800 and 18 months of light use, I am left with a worthless paperweight. I have taken this as a very expensive lesson and bought a new phone direct from Apple. I cannot, recommend the Amazon Renewed option.
