Solid construction. Looks like it will last a while. No plastic.

Good 'budget' item. It is as described... Aluminium build / lightweight. No quick-release / quick-adjustment button. I found it had a little too much play on the moving jaw, so figured out how to dismantle and put a couple of shims in to stop that. Overall it's a good value item. Noted other comments about the pitch of the fixing slots, but I don't plan to fix to my drill press so not an issue for me.

This little thing is a fantastic partner to a full size vice and I’m very happy with it thus far. - Its ideal for small worktop jobs where a full size vice is just too much. - The whole thing is indeed made of aluminium and seems a pretty durable grade. - It has ample sized cut outs for permanent surface mounting. - The rubber bumpers in the jaws are replaceable if needs be. - It looks well made for its price and has a nice finish with no rough or sharp edges. I used a little dab of grease to smooth out the mechanism as it comes pretty dry. I’ve been using this little thing to hold smaller items in place for easier cleaning, lubrication and modification such as multitools and folding knives. This is just one example of course there are many other uses for this little beauty. Highly recommended all around, in fact I’m buying another to go on another bench.

Decent acceptably solid / useful vice or bench clamp. It probably wouldn't stand up to regular use with a full size pillar drill but if that's what you need spend a bit more money on something else. I needed a useful but lightweight vice I can fly out with to our holiday villa for occasional DIY. For that use and price it seems perfect.

Very light weight. Opens out to 67mm. Screw bar works fine for tightening. However, the centers to clamp to a bench drill showed 95/70 Nope 70mm yes which is for front to back sliding. But the left right 95mm centers for bolting down are 102mm So back it goes. I'd rather alter a better quality one than this cheap ally version. There is a version for my bench drill but at £47 & as cheap quality as this. So £13.99 yep worth it for general small use.

Slightly sloppy joint on screw but does a very good job, as does the Katsu drill press it fits on. Reccomend

Just what I needed,good value for money and great for small projects,model making ,woodwork etc

I'm very pleased with it as it fits my drill press as I wanted it to. I did do a little modification consisting of two holes in my base in order to utilise the four slots in the vice. I was also presently surprised to find the vice opens a bit more than 21/2 inches. I've only used it a couple of times but it will be fine for what I want it for.
